Another warlock question!

Post by jarjar75 »

I played my 'force' blader to like lvl 25 now but its just to boring to train a blader! I still love them but its to slow for me.

Now I got the idea to go with warlock. I dunno what sub I should take. Im thinking of warrior or cleric?

Its pure hp against pure int.

And is an euro char be able to hold himself without an cleric as sub because they got an skill for the 15 sec pot delay but a warrior/warlock has some nice defences i guess?

I had a Warrior/Warlock and have gotta say its the most badass build out there. IMO they can survive just fine with the constant stun/sleep/kb/kd/hp drain and whatnot.

Also, vigors help A LOT!

speaking from the experience that i had from my lvl 70 warlock/cleric, i'd go warrior/warlock if i were you.

Warrior is an offensive sub (lets take the symbol + for offensive subs)
Warlock is an offensive sub
Cleric is a defensive sub (symbol - for it)

+ and + = ++, u'll do so much dmg in pvp
+ and - = /, you'll be fine but it'll depend on ur equips more

if you are pvp orientated then really, go for warrior. :) you'll have an easier time looking for a party as a warrior compared to a warlock imo. its VERY tiring to train a warlock/cleric, where you have to debuff every single mob and wait for them to die, and hope no one touches ur mob until u're done. maybe thats my flaw in training or something :\

warrior sub is better for 1v1 and cleric is better in groups imo

Guys, still dont know what to pick?

I think warlock you are more assured because of the cleric but its still pure int so dont really get much hp points.

I think that a warrior/warlock has more hp but your are less assured because of no cleric sub.

Help me pleaseeeee :banghead:

If you only care about PVP then I think warrior/warlock might suit you better, just be prepared to pay for hp/vigor grains, speed pots, and pills. Warlock/cleric is great vs Chinese, but there's very little that that they can do against a warrior/cleric or rogue/cleric (given similar equipment). Even a wiz/cleric would be able to kill you if stun resists.

A skillful warrior/warlock should be able to hold their own against all euro builds with a cleric sub, although they might not win. I guess their downfall would be an archer or nuker with fire wall.

I'd personally go with the Warrior/Warlock ... Is it less assured of surviving? Not exactly. Yes, a warrior/cleric would have an easier time surviving, but it's just like a Warrior/Rogue build: In pvp, it's more reliant (at least against the cleric subs) on the use of hp/vigor grains to survive, granted you're not full Sun+7 against people in far lesser compared gear ...lol

Just a note, grains are the fastest way to recover full HP in the game ...that and the fact it's a 4 sec delay compared to the normal pot's 15 sec for euros, it helps quite nicely, at times.

Warrior shouldn't be your sub.It should be your main mastery. I also like warrior/warlock, but if you want warlock as your main, go with cleric. Or maybe bard for speed and noise. Anyway, don't take warrior just for sub.
