Rouge/cleric vs. Rogue/warlock

Post by TsterT »

I'm a level 31 FF rogue/cleric atm. I've been looking at some rogue/warlock pvp videos lately, and they seem to be extremely strong. So I'm arguing against myself about whether to go rogue/cleric or rouge/warlock. de-leveling my cleric build wouldn't be to hard, so it isn't much trouble.

Any advice?

Thanks,
TsterT

Eh ...

The Cleric subbed one'll have a higher physical / magical defense (w/ cleric rod out), recovery division / healing cycle (orbit) for healing, and good absolute damage skills

Warlock subbed one'll be more suited for PvP (Unless you Lure / Str Lock in 8/8's). Not as immune as the cleric sub and more dependent on the use of grains. Probably has the most ease at dealing with builds that don't use the cleric mastery

I have both a rogue / cleric & rogue / warlock and can say ...I like the cleric one for group pvp (especially if most of my team are idiots (ctf / ba)) and like my warlock one for 1vs1, PvE, and in some instances, group pvp, if, and only if, there are some players that know what they're doing

I never really thought about the group pvp part. The main reason why I am making a rouge is for pvp, and as you said, rogue/cleric is better for group pvp, and rogue/warlock is better for 1v1 pvp. I came to a conclusion of rogue/cleric, but where I get second thoughts, is where I remember I like support classes quite a bit. When I was watching pvp videos of the two builds, I noticed, the warlock isn't really necessary in 1v1 pvp, and the majority of the damage comes from the daggers. So I decided to go with rogue/cleric.

Thanks for the help guys,
TsterT :)

Yea, the warlock sub is nice for the "interruptions" (stun & sleep), since Rogues already don't require the debuffs to kill, they just make it faster ...lol
