when you use ice(or any status effect), there an effect number that goes with it. check your skill info to see it, it'll say like 'effect62' or something similar. that determines how long someone will be frozen for. when they use a pill, it reduces it by the amount on the pill. look at a pill and you'll see the reduction amount. if it reduces it past 0, the effect goes away.
so, if you're frozen and use a pill, if it reduces it past 0 then you'll be thawed, not slow or frozen anymore. if it doesn't, then the freeze will wear off and you'll still be slowed, like normal.
and any other status works the same. the lower level imbue or skills will only put the freeze on for a short time, so leveling them up is good if you plan to be freezing, especially pvp
So in conclusion your saying that no matter how many pills they use, they will still be frozen because of the 25% of being froze being hit so much with the blade. (Don't know if that made since.) And if your not saying this, it's want I want to know.

The point of slowing him down is you hit him more times then he hits you...
Depending on how much damage your burn does you may be dealing the same ratio of damage if not more.
No I think that he mean that it will be useless for the enemy to use pills because if they want them to be effective in canceling the freezing they will have to buy the most powerful pills and use them each time they are frozen, and they can be frozen with each shot...

well, if you spam pills, you'll be able to keep alot of the cold off, but i's only so effective in my experience. the pills have a wait time between use, so sometimes it's hard to keep up. then again, sometimes it's not, it all depends ont he luck you get with that 25% frosty chance really.
the thing with the 25% chance is that blade\sword users hit 2 times fast.. so in 4 full swings, it is likely to frostbite you twice. those 4 swings occur in 4-5 seconds.
Well, I'm level 17 and still SP farming so I can go either way still. BTW, I use a blade and am going to also get a bit of Lightning with which ever I choose.
Cold -Can turn you into an icesickle or slow you down. -Effective with blade because of quick hits. - Lowish damage. -Nice defence with shield.
Fire -High damage. -Burns, high burn at later levels. -Nice buffs.
Each build can also pill at burns and freezing, but it will come right back. Cold may seem to outbeat Fire easily, but you must remember that I'm close-combat. Fire kills quicker. Cold takes a while but saves pots.
Now with this data, help me out here and/or add some other benefits I forgot to mention. Thanks a bunch.

Sorry for the double post, but I'm at the level where I need to decide what to get quickly. I'd like to bump this topic for that same reason. I also noticed that in alot of Korean SRO screenies, 3/4 have at least the Fire embue. Taking this post and the above post into consideration, please help!

Well, I guess I'm going to go fire. I haven't heard much faults for it and the Koreans seem to find no problem. Let's just hope I won't regret this. :D
