Bard subclass

Post by Zyphir »

Hi

I'm a level 31 now with 30 wizard/30 bard. Now I've got a few Bard skills that I needed, according to the "Wizard with Bard subclass guide". However, I don't really get how all of these Bard skills work.

Noise for example, I'm not entirely sure what it does. I've used it ever since I had it, cause that's what the guide says. But what does it exactly do? I use it at Closier/Punisher and they don't attack me. Is that what the skill does? Does that then also mean that I can cast that spell and run through Ongs without needing to worry that I'll get killed? (Except for giants/champs)

Then the last line, the dances. I also don't really get these skills. I've got the first one in the line and I can't seem to cast it. It says that I'm not in the right area to cast it or so ... What does that mean?

Then for Invisible. Would it be useful to upgrade that skill? It can be updated at level 40, but why would I do that? Only cause someone with higer detect level would be able to detect me? Or can you also move faster when you've got it at high level, cause moving is terrible slow with Invisible :P

Also are there any other advices for Wizard/Bard? Like which Skills I shouldn't get and which I definitely should? Like Ground charge I've seen is quite useless as I've got a better version for that. Also the first skill in the Electric line seems quite useless, cause most of my other skills have a bigger attack power? Or am I wrong with that?

Thanks to the person who wants to help me with all these questions :)

Noise, like you thought, prevents mobs from attacking you, but champions and giants will still attack you and its only effective till a certain lvl mobs. I guess at your lvl it would be till lvl 40 mobs.

As for the dances, you will need another bard who casts a tambour. When you are with another bard in party and it has cast a tambour, then you are in this right area. ( I thought it waas called music play area or something like that)

For invisible, I had it, but delevelled it again, because almost everyone on my server used the hack =S

As for the skills to get, I wouldnt get ground charge since you have earth shock and at electric line i only had teleport and charged wind. But you can also leave the skills that inflict status like fear, bind and combustion if you dont pvp that much.

Ok thanks a lot :) Guess I'll delevel some of my skills then, cause I never use them, never really thought of deleveling :)

@ Chickenfeather: Thanks for that link, must've looked over it :o

Edit: I also don't really get what Guard Tambour is useful for ... as soon as I get attacked it disappears + it absorbs all my MP. What is it useful for then? Also, when I equip my Wizard Staff, the Tambour disappears. So I don't get how it can be useful.

The tambour is only usefull for bards.
It can only be used when you have your harp equipped..
But as a bard its a very nice skill as it will absorp a certain % of the damage done on you
