You mean Pacheon and we have 100 cap now. But you can aim for 90/90/90/30 and later change it to 100/100/80Light/20Ice

You should atleast keep your fire up to date with your Pacheon, Light could stay a bit lower if you don't have the sp to keep them all up.
which skills are crucial for an archer... and which skills are a no-no?
You will need the 1st/2nd/3rd/5th/6th/7th/8th/9th line. The only skill that is really optional is the Autumn Series. I don't find them very usefull, the damage is alright (about the same as the 1st row (Anti Devil series) But the Anti Devil skill has a crit increase status on the skill so I prefer a lower book Anti Devil over a maxed Autumn skill. Also if you don't have the sp you could skip the 8th skill because I didn't find myself using it alot while grinding.
is it good to use cloth or protectors?
Well if you're planning on going 20/30 Ice later on I would go with prot for the str builds, but if you grind alot and don't pvp very often I'd go with garm for the speed increase and mp reduction.
also... can you guys give me some pointers on playing an archer?
Try to find mobs you can 2skill while grinding, 1skill would be even better but then you'd need a sun weapon or alot lower lvl mobs hehe. Don't waste your time on arrow combo's during grinding, you can link the Strong bow, Explosion arrow and 2 Anti Devil books perfectly with eachother. For PvP I suggest you don't spam kb like some idiot and only use it when you really need it. You should also learn to use Fire Wall effeciently in PvP.
