Warlock Cleric, build question

Post by FumpyBump »

Well hey,

Ive used the search function but couldnt really come to an answer.

Ive made a warlock cleric which is pretty nice to grind, but looking at warlock cleric grinding videos below lvl 40 i figure i still have way too much trouble surviving compared to the people in the videos i saw.

Im a pure int and now im pretty much wondering if that is a hybrid build? :?

I never grinded a warlock cleric before, its my first one, so if someone knows a cool guide please do link it my way, as i couldnt find anything in the search function.

thanks in advance :)

+1

Most warlocks just do 5-10 lvs of str so that would be just enough to survive & kill :P
Build: Warrior/Rouge

i have a pure int ff100 warlock/cleric and survive just fine in pvp against anyone. against any chinese just make sure you cast "IMPOTENT" before you try anything else so their dmg is nearly reduced by 45%. Against anyone euro pure str with holyspell, stun and offering finishes the job. Against wiz with holyspell, stun, 2 dot and 1 blood flower and its over.

for grinding same. vampire kiss followed by impotent and theres no prob. or trap+sleep on the mobs if its pt mob or giant that you have prob with. warlock/cleric is the most versatile build, but also most SP hungry, so make sure you farmed adequetly.

with this build Chinese builds sun or not are a joke, die before even touching you. euro just follow what i said, stun and pure offer them. if you do hybrid your pure offer dmg becomes crap.

Erm don't go hybrid too early if you plan to hand level your char. I did and it SUCKED... nuked abnormally and horribly low even with som weapons (I did have a 2 gap though). Also, you should train a lot easier once you get recovery division, you won't have to use vampire touch every other skill.

Lol -_______-
Well I was surely not going to bot my char...
I dont deal with shit like that. No point playing a game when a machine does your part of the work.

Mmm, Im mostly going for pt play, and in that case i will only need to debuff the mobs. But sometimes when theres no party I would like to solo grind.
Yeah i also figured that warlock kills pretty slow at some point. Normally when I grind target mob -> dot -> dot -> run -> target next mob -> dot -> dot -> run and so on, its nice and its fast. if you stay within a certain range youll come across the points where the mobs died, to pick up your shit.

Im finally 40 now and got RD, Im grinding on bunwangs now tho I have to kill them 1 by 1, its just i finished all other quests and the only one i have left is the bunwang quest and up, and apart from that there just doesnt seem to be any suitable mob for me at the moment =s

Maybe its just me, any tips by chance where its best to solo level for warlocks?
I know preferably 2 -3 levels below my own level.. but that would only give me sungsung/golems or tarim basin as choices.

golems: my biggest enemy, i totally cannot stand them
sungsung: they have an awful high spawn rate and have the same effect as bunwangs just with a lower level
tarim basin: apart from those normal black robbers all others are ranged, and the hit and run stuff doesnt work too well with them since they still hit me.

thanks in advance =)

as pure int i always go to a nice spot with A mob a couple of lvls above me so i can kill it
a low spawn rate is good for int since you cant tank
a 2-3 spawn area is nice as well
as long as you time each kill before another spawns near you and your not waiting too long for the next

I LOVE golems!!!! I was there from 43 until level 45 (I would have gone earlier but I didn't know it was such a good spot). When I first went there, I used 2 dot + 1 nuke, then as I got stronger 1 dot + 1 nuke, later 2 dot + run, then at the end I was doing 1 dot + run (and zerking every minute). There was a big area that had no bots and a very good spawn. I was using som 42+3 but that's balanced out by being hybrid and 2 gap.

I didn't train at bunwangs because there were way too many goldbots and they hit so hard =(. Instead, I trained in that area just south of Hotan east gate (near the bridge to Black Jade river) with flowers, white spiders, and some bunwangs. It was great until some idiots started botting there :x.

Anyway, the dot and run method really doesn't work that well if you're training in an area where there are botters, or if the mobs are higher than you. Unless you have speed drugs, you won't run fast enough to escape them. If you can be in a party most of the time, I would suggest that you stay pure, and when you solo, just do dot + nuke for each mob. And oh, get a pet so you don't have to run around picking up your drops.
