Archers or Warlocks help me for pvp plz

Hi guys....I have a "little problem"...there`s a guy on my server and I`m making pvp with him tomorrow...Dont ask why, but it`s very important for me to win this pvp.
To get started, I will tell you that my char is a lvl 90 archer almost FF(88pach, 85fire, 80light, 20 cold), using garms and a 90+5 bow...
The dude I pvp with is a warior/warlock lvl 83...I know it is 7 lvl difference, but I use normal gear, while the warior has sun+7 2h sword and sun/moon armors...

Ok now I need some advices from you guys:what tactics to adopt for beating him...Why I ask you guys? because I don`t know very well the euro chars, and don`t know very much how to play vs a warior/warlock...

So need some advices from you guys...preferable if you are archers or even warior/warlocks, so you can talk from your own experience..

Any tip or tactic exemple is welcomed..

as long as he had sun weapon is VERY unlikely that u will win, the #1 thing u need for any warlock is purification pills, ONLY use them when he is ready to atk you, spam them to get rid of all debuff, and hope for the best.

at first: your chances arent very high

you have to look at his weaknesses:
he has:
-no holy word -> you might frostbite him with the frost wave-arrest (even if its just very short if he has pills)
-problems against the fire wall (try to get the highest one as possible)
of others i cant think atm...

to the other users here:
-how about KB as often as possible after receiving "Hidden"?
-or, if he uses advanced reflect , trying to stand alive those 45sec with arrow combo/frost?

Ok I want to thank for the guys that answered so quick to my post...But need more advice and better maybe....Does anyone can tell me from his experience? Maybe an archer who fought vs warlocks? or maybe a warlock can tell me his char wiknesses:)

Ehm first of all I think you will need a lot of luck to kill this guy ... sun 2h and som gears?? I pvped with a 85 bower against a 85 warrior warlock with normal gears and he pwned my @$$. You will need a lot of luck. Always put your wall. Use KB as much as possible (or save it for every time he uses daredevil). Also you could switch to a shield everytime he tries daredevil and KB is relaoding. Buy a lot of puri pills, and use them after he used sleep (if it worked). Use your snow and a cold imbue. And then pray for some crits

all i no is that bow has some nice stuns and kb and with it's crits u have a good chance of wining if u time your attacks right. O yea..i forgot try to kb him as much as u can so he doesnt get alot of kd on u.

get as much str on your gear as possible between now and then
it will save you life in this pvp and also make grinding a lot easier after
other than purchasing an armor set and pimping it between now and tomorrow your best strategy is

-to always have firewall up if possible
-use knockback a lot
-get lots of vigors and purification pills
-pot in anticipation of a crit/autopot at 99%
-use phantom to get out of range if you about to die
-end the pvp before snow runs out

kb->kb->firewall->do dmg/kb until firewall is about to break -> repeat

your enemy has nowadays little possibilities to counter firewall as a warrior/warlock
- he cant debuff/stun you (in d10 not even with curses)
- he cant cancel it with sprint assault (again d10 ftw...)
- on top of that you can get bugged with the wall and run around like the bower from hell (d10...thx gaymax)
- but he can drain the wall with rod-shots, curses and nukes (if he skilled them)
- however the easiest way for him would be running away waiting for his chance after you got out

if he uses advanced reflect (the big flashing pink bubble) try to stay out of his 15m reflect radius, use your range superiority or you may share the inflicted dmg on him.

you are 7 lvls higher... this means he does 7*2,5% less dmg to you (as far as i remember the correct value), however you have no penalty towards him

to sum it up: DONT GET STUNNED

With the 7 level difference he'll have a hard time debuffing you fully. Just use fire wall, keep using hard hitting skills while he's trying to break it, and if/when he manages to break it with warlock skills, recast it RIGHT AWAY. If you find yourself in a dangerous situation (i.e. low hp and with some debuffs on), use ice wall to gain some time for potting.

there is nothing more annoying than trying to debuff someone while they have that up. try to KB as much as possible and give him some statuses since he has no holy word. unfortunately warlock = chinese killer so u might have some problemss... good luck!

what you need to do is get a cleric to chill in a corner. like far away so he cant see him but the cleric can still buff you. just have the cleric heal your status whenever you get it . its all group pvp now a days anyway .

Weal, today he couldn`t be on....So we have to pvp in 2 days(because tomorrow I go to visit my grandparents so I won`t play silk)...

And lol man...I want to be a fair pvp:P and anyway, he is in my guild, and that is why is so important to win...he`s not like my enemy or something, we are friends, but both want so hard to pwn each other at pvp:D

it was very close fight in some rounds....I needed vigors and purifications a lot:D....oh and the 90+5 shield that my friend borrowed was helpfull too:)

With a maxed firewall (17,900 hp & 92 magical absorption) warlock subs'll need a varied amount of their Mag. Attk x ~ x (37%) DoTs and weak str nukes, dependent on their warlock rod & int on gear, to take it down ...(big emphasis on the word in bold)

Add onto that 2 interruption skills with a 4 sec cooldown and 30% chance to knockback each successful hit alongside the 23.6m reach (28.6m w/ strongbow)...they'll have a bit of a problem taking it down...

And anyone that duels anyone with warlock involved in their build and isn't quite prepared (purification pills & vigors at the very least) are bound to have the most problems, especially since a lot of people like to use the trap + sleep bug...

vs warrior/locks as a bower - ice imbue is your friend. seriously they can't do shit if u got firewall and kb when they get close or try to debuff chain

should be a coincidence that i with a 9D armour lvl kill so many bows even lvl 100,
even easier is attack with dark breath or/and deark decayed ,step back and w8 FW goes off
then just stun and start debuffing ,KB its a usueful non damage skill, but after dull ,and on stun cant do that much ,if needed i can also use fog sight(never use this many times).

I don't recall saying it would be hard to kill them.....chinese are one of the easiest to kill for a warlock sub...

just saying that against archers, it'd be the hardest out of any chinese build w/ fire to take down....lol

I call it a bug for what it does to the "Sleep" status effect.

Deep Slumber ~ 80% successful (excluding disease) and lasts for 20 secs ...

Now for the Status description:

"Refers to the state where you are in a deep sleep from being hypnotized by the enemy. Under sleep state you cannot do anything, and you can only wake up when you have been damaged."

Now, if you do vampire touch / kiss (disease) > sleep .....it'll last 20 secs or until they're attacked.

What the bug does is ...puts them to sleep for as long as the Bloody / Death Trap remains on them and they can't attack back after being hit, thus nulling the description of the skill itself.

As for the skills you listed, they're not really bugs....knockdown's an interruption skill specific to those mastery trees (rogue, warrior, bicheon)...each build has one ....stun, knockback, knockdown, freeze, etc, etc

Though there is that kd glitch ....if you kd after a kb, the person kd'd would be fixed on you until they tele / relog ..lol

Regarding Holy Spell ....eh, other versions have it set to 50% ...and the fact that panic doesn't go through anymore could just be a fix to a bug or simply another bug ...lol

correction ,its from 5 to 20 seconds its a big difrence ,and you can clean with special pills
and when KD u cant use pills .

Well, what I found was that lower lvl status effects (general to their degree) used on targets of a higher degree lvl than w/e status, if it gets on, it'll last less time than if they were equal.

Basically, if the status lvl doesn't equal the current degree lvl of the target, the duration is lessened...though I've had that more to do with stun than sleep...hm

The bug is that it alters the rules of the status...

The skill itself states that Sleep lasts up to 20 secs or until the very second they're attacked, however if you Bloody / Death Trap before you use Sleep ...it makes it so Sleep's main cancellation method is void and replaces it with the duration of "Hidden" on the target...thus why I call it a bug.

Though I wish they lowered holy spell to 50% ...or make it so panic can go through again....lol

from a warrior/warlock.. things u should try to do..

fire wall -

if you do this dbuffs wont work on you. but if the warrior warlock is smart he could just sprint assault you, and if this happens its bad news for you because you will be stunned...

Eternal slumber -

if he casts that skull skill on you (Xich Huyet Cam - i play viet sro lol) then casts sleep on you you will be put in eternal slumber. which means he will have his way with you and you will die.

advanced reflect - if he farmed for this skill, all he has to do is cast it and at lvl 80 i think its 90% damage return, so w/e damage u do to him, 90% will come back to you. so of course this wont be good news for u

gives u 5 sec pot delay, bad for u..

I already beated him, but thx anyway....the score was 10-3 for me:)....I used fire wall, then when he destroyed my firewall- kb and firewall again....and if he managed to get me sleep, I used purifications and then bang...killed him
