Are they really necessary for a warlock? I mean a warlock who knows how to play can also DoT/debuff mobs by using the 1hit DoTs/debuffs too. In the same time (since 1hit is instant cast and the multi hit is 2 second-cast or something). It would save me a lot of sp. What is your opinion on it.

PS. the 1hit and the multi hit are always the same lvl, not that the lvl of the debuff from the 1hit is lower or something: they are the same.

Re: Warlock AoE DoT/debuff skills
only take the DoT that give dull/bleed and then choose or you want area or solo
then for debuffs choose for area OR solo aswell take everything except weaken (the skill which lowers phy def of an enemy tho in team this can be useful)
but warlock is a build which needs alot of sp

Re: Warlock AoE DoT/debuff skills
The point of the thread is more like: Can't you just use the single DoT skills and single debuff skills instead of adding the single and the multiple. If you are really fast you could DoT/debuff 3 mobs in the same time that you'd launch an area DoT/debuff and hit 3. Yes the first option takes more energy, because you have to react fast. Tho rejecting the AoE skills would save me like 400k sp.

Re: Warlock AoE DoT/debuff skills
You dont have to get the AOE debuff skills..just the single ones are fine. But the AOE dots are very useful..especially in parties. Yea you can use the single target ones to but it requires much more work to click on each mob and use them.
I would really suggest you take the AOE DOTS.

Re: Warlock AoE DoT/debuff skills
you probaly could do without the area Debuffs, but i would take 1 or 2 AOE dots why?
because in party grinding its always nice to stack up dots.
and since a mob can have 2 dots on it and 2 throug splash its handy to use the splash dots for that to get more then 2 Dots on a mob
but then again if you mostly solo grind or whatever.
and you REALLY don't wanna farm you could do without yes

Re: Warlock AoE DoT/debuff skills
Well I'm at Tsro atm, and I'm lvling a wiz first to powerfarm the char. With AoE skills it'll take 1.6 mil to farm, without it'll take 1.2 mil to farm. I think it's a huge difference.

Re: Warlock AoE DoT/debuff skills
debuffs take solo thats for sure
DoT take Dull and bleed ( solo or area its both useful in different situations ) but if you dont get plvled till lvl 70 take the solo dull and bleed!

Re: Warlock AoE DoT/debuff skills
I think you know the answer to this...
Adding AoE= More SP. A lot more SP. However, obviously work better on groups of mobs. As you said, the single target ones work if you are good at them. Is it worth the 400ksp? That's your call.
DoT's: Depends on how much you party. Dull/bleed are worthwhile, but if you never party, stick with single. Poison and burn ones are garbage in pvp.
