Wizard / Warlock

Since my FF Rogue lvl 76 with both weapons and Cleric sub (Farmed too), i don't get bored fast with her cause i can just switch between xbow and daggers and viceversa. So, is like having two chars in one. : )
i love her too because her buff. Str buffer to be exact. Great supporter + good tanker.

Anyways, so i wanna do something different. What i mean something like my Rogue but Int-base. (Dealing good damage + two weapons)
The first build wich crossed my mind was Wizard with Warlock as a sub (Also, those are the only really int base damage dealer. I'm not saying bard or Cleric can't do damage, just those two first can deal more damage than the others two)

Well my question is...it's worth trying it or i'm just losing my time?
i.. uhm.. really haven't a decent Int character.. because.. im kinda suck for int,im not really patiente so i risk my int character life and die fast lol. You might say "make a Wiz/Cleric or Warlock/Cleric" but if i do that, i'd get bored a bit fast (as i said, Bards or Clerics, can do damage but having a Warlock will kill faster), so why not combine Wizard with Warlock?

Yeah, probably i'll die a lot because i don't have something really who can help if im close to death (Maybe adding that sucking hp warlock skill + vigors will kinda help)... but lets see how far i can take this char.

For me, about this Build:
Pros
-Int base Full Damage Dealer (Debuffs + Wizz nukes)
-Fast leveler + Good solo-er
-Two builds of choice (Like having two chars in one)

Cons
-Dies Fast (if you don't know how to play it)
-Lack of Mana (Those two builds are mana suckers + euro delay pot)

Any suggestions?

You could rape anyone that doesn't have pills, force tree, or the cleric tree. DoTs'll do more dmg when you switch to staff, though XD.

Though, the stuns can come in handy against those that are semi-immune / immune....

Stun, Meteor, ....either 2nd nuke, or

Stun, fire trap, meteor, kb, another nuke ....

etc, etc

kinda sucks that panic doesn't go through holyspell anymore, though...

problem is the lack of survivability since you can only defend by attacking.
i'd only consider this build if you have a good party, solo grinding might be ok too, but i guess it will shine in party grinding

for FF All Wiz (Except Root and Drain mana) and all Warlock
First i calculated from 10 to 76 (Is the max lvl i know i can reach) is 430.949 sp
i was like... hmm is not that bad.

But then i tried to cap 100, just for fun.. lol.. it was... 2'438,860 sp

You don't need all the warlock skills. Just the debuffs and you can decide what you want from there, i'd reccomend getting stun at least and slumber. And for wizards, get the fear skill which will save your butt fighting giants for about 10 secs. It's a good pvp build but also a decent PvE one.

Downside for this build is lack of def, speed, and large amounts of SP.

I think people have smartened up in 1 v 1 pvp vs warlock builds now. If I were you I would just stick with a warlock main.

Going through your points:
-Contrary to what you said, this build is not an especially good or fast soloer because it lacks both speed and heals, and even with speed pots you would be more vulnerable than wiz/bard or warlock/bard due to the lack of noise.
-What do you mean by wiz/lock kills faster? Possibly you'd kill giants faster but there is always the chance you'll die because you can't heal yourself (except with vampire kiss/touch). For regs and champs it would be the same as a regular wiz or warlock.
-Yes it's 2 builds in 1 but unless you're in a party, it's not all that useful.

Now as for pvp:
-Str Chinese: All they have to do is get ice wall up and do a few ranged attacks at you. Even earth fence won't save you since you have no heals other than vampire touch/kiss.
-Int Chinese: Um... 1 nuke + 1 lion shout will probably finish you off, and I am not exaggerating.
-Euro with Cleric sub: If you get first hit you could kill ints, but everybody else is going to kill you.
-Euro without Cleric sub: If you can stun them before they kill you you'll probably win.

Wiz/lock would be fun at lower levels because people don't know how to get around the debuffs, but I seriously doubt it will be good at cap.

Well no offense but at cap it's really not going to be good at pvp. At lower levels it'll be good, in the same way that a warlock/warrior is good.

What can i say? I still have time to change, to reset my skills.

Wiz/bard is okay (for soloing), there are lots of them at the higher levels. What's wrong with your warlock/cleric? Personally I think that's a great build (don't have one myself so I'm not biased). I'm curious though as to why you said wiz/cleric would be junk and yet wiz/lock wouldn't be?

When i said "One of the junk" i mean there are already many Wiz with Cleric as Sub.
My Lock/cler is doing just fine, but i just wanted a Wizard with something.

Oh, i get it. But its ok. At least this build will get me busy. I Mean in soloing i can go just Wiz and if im bored jut Warlock. Or if theres a party mob i can use debuffs + wiz nukes and trying to survive with KB nuke + Vampire Touch + Vigors. it's a tricky yet intereseting build that must be tried imo.

Anyways, as i said i'll still think about it (Still can reset my skills) but im keep supporting my own idea.

Wiz/lock tends to be much more vulnerable than warrior/lock and rogue/lock. Maybe that's why not many people play it and thus there is no guide .

Or if theres a party mob i can use debuffs + wiz nukes and trying to survive with KB nuke + Vampire Touch + Vigors. it's a tricky yet intereseting build that must be tried imo.

Make sure you get sleep trap on it XD, and don't KB if there's a lot of mobs around, use fear. I always had to be careful with party mobs on my wiz/cleric, but the debuffs may help you survive its attacks. Good luck if you do decide to continue with it. Well, you're looking this build just for PvP. I'm not really interesed doing this build for it.
Not saying i'll never going to PvP, maybe just for fun or for randoms 1 hits. =P

lol, fixed. Just a normal build for pve and pvp and whatever it can do like others build lol
and so far, its getting great.

Now i can even kill Kokorus Partys and im just lvl 29. All by myself.
atm im using this strategy: first warlock -> vampire touch (for desease) then lower his mag def, DoT's blood flower then switch staff, KB lightening nuke, fear and then Fire Blow. And if Fear fails: vigors lol KB nuke again and switch warlock and then repeat xD

I wouldn't do a Wizard/Warlock because as a Wizard u already got a perfect damage. Better take Bard or Cleric sub. Or a Warrior maybe?

i'm not sure if you like this but i say warlock/bard would fit you

I also wanted a char with different fighting styles and warlock/bard fit it well for me
you can party play as bard or warlock so you can be part of the offense or defense in party

for solo grinding, use warlock to get zerk (1-2 minutes) and use bard (in zerk) to 1 hit everything with fast bard attacks
noise also helps to keep you from getting hit by too many mobs while you are debuffing a giant

the wiz/warlock solo grind is a bit boring, you'll mainly be using wiz or warlock but not both together, since they can kill so fast, if you zerk in wiz you can 1 hit mobs higher than you but you can't grind at higher mobs well because of no cleric/bard def skills, and wiz can 1 hit mobs its own lvl already so zerk only makes you run faster for that time... outside of zerk unless you use warlock you risk dying to a crit from a mob that pops up behind you and you'll be moving slowly between monsters (unless you teleport too)

You're right. But in higher lvls i could kill Giants or Party monster (Not necessary in a party) more faster than a Warlock/Bard. Maybe i can have some troubles because i don't have Noise, so i have to make sure to be one by one with a stronger monster, so a random aggro mob won't kill me by surprise.

i still have a question. Will be handy to get warrior lvl 10 for Shield kb?
if that so, wich build (Wiz, lock) should i take the lvls from?

I wouldn't recommend getting 10 warrior, because you need to keep your debuffs up to date or they won't work well. I guess you could take 10 off wizard but then you won't hit as hard. I think with stun and sleep from warlock, as well as knockback and fear from wiz (plus root if you choose to take it), you should do alright.

What kind of gap are you going to do to farm for each degree? On my wiz/cleric I had trouble with a 2 gap and gold sp ticket, and no quests after 60. I also farmed about 200k sp at 74, but I ran out of sp at 88, which is when I quit.

wizard skills hit hard enough to not matter also

Well, what i did with my rogue was quite simple.
Something like: ie. i'm lvl 32, gap zero. So, until 41 keep my skills on 32 (33, gap 1; 34, gap 2) and so on. So at lvl 41 i'll having 9 gap, and keep grinding until desire sp needed.
That what i did for 32, 42, 52, 64 and 76 lol

Yeah, probably trying. Anyways, it just only 11 skills (110 cursed hearts) to be reset.

Already have one 61, farmed to 60 with 3 weapons to use. =P

You must be really patient to do the whole gap-until-you-have-enough-sp thing. I'd go crazy training like that. When I did 9 gap I had a 0 mastery gap from like 65 to 74, then deleveled a mastery back to 65. It took me almost 2 months to finish level 74 with a 9 gap .

and nah, i did not deleveled cause i had prem plus + sp ticket from 64 to 71 i made 200k enough for full farmed rogue dual wepaons and almsot all cleric (like lvl 9 offering lol)
