Post by VOID »

I am a lv 14 hybrid int character sword lightning putting strat points 1:2 ( str : int ) im thinking of doing this strat points technique till lv 31 then go pure int. for a 90% magical balance. is this good?

You should go 1:2

And don't listen to people that say Hybrids need special gear or better stuff to be at the same lvl of power as the other builds. They can stand their own ground.

1:2 str int ratio sux imo
personaly i think a hybrid int should not spend more than 30 points into str or els he/she screwes up his mag ballance to much , witch makes nukes damage not worth the long casting times
at lvl 70 a 2:1 int hybrid has spend 42 points on str altho this isnt much of a diferance NOW but when cap is ganna be raised he will spend even more points into str and this is ganna cost a 1:2 hybrid to much of his mag ballance imo ,

i have been 1:2 since lvl 30, and 1:1 before that, not counting a few lvls where i went all str or all int. i am 79% phys 85% mag. i beat pure strs all the time, and there are only a handful of pure ints who don't have SoS who can beat me. i have well over 10k hp, and even if i can't kill you, you can't kill me either. my masteries are lvl 65, and i have beated fully-farmed pures of both types. i do less dmg than pures by a considerable margin, but i make up for it in staying power. believe me when i say that you can DEFINITELY be competitive as a 1:2 hybrid, but like Skits said, you need to have good gear to back you up.

 who say 1:2 int hybrid sux .Maybe you had yet to reach lvl cap where most of the weapon are +5-7 .Do you know a at lvl cap with out any blue that hybrid would had 60:80 mag .which is enough to tank from being 1 shot, which the the purpose of that hybrid

at lvl 70 60% (6k+-Hp) with blue you can go as high as 10k HP like SG

can you extra of 30 str tank a int 1st shot???? Or a glaive stun + gsm

omfg ,here come the you cant know couse your not 70
mabe i do know , wat the freak do you know wat i do and dont know fool
i sad its my opion , and it will stay my opinion , i dont care wat yours is and neither should you care wat mine is
dont attack me for having MY opinion when so many people dont even seem to haveone , but copy other peoples opinions

can you extra of 30 str tank a int 1st shot???? Or a glaive stun + gsm

yes it can . your 2:1 hybrid dusnt realy have much more than 30 points of extra str
Do the calculus your self
lemme give you a head start
lvl 1 char has 69 lvl to gain befor he caps
he gets 5 stat points at each lvl 69x5= 345 stat points
69 will be put in str at each lvl and into int each lvl automaticaly
2x 69=138

345-138=207 stat points left at lvl 70
now go and find out how many points you need to put into str to get 2x as much int as you have str at lvl 70 , couse thats wat a 1:2 int build is 100 str= 200 int etc etc

if you put 1 str and 2 int every lvl than your not a 2:1 build at lvl 70

now the diferance isnt big yet , as soon as the cap will rise your mag ballance will shift to a lower .err.. rate , idono how to explain it
So ill just give up oke

I agree with Kitary on this one personally int hybrid should have high enough mag balance to do big nuke damage, but at the same time having a level of str to withstand blows.

I would have went with a 90% int hybrid after my pvp experience at 4-5X but my pure str blader is farmed till cap lol :(

do 2:1 go pvp and if u find your dmg lacking then u can always change later wont be too hard.

does it matter if i add my str points in the first lvls or if i add tham in my late levels (50+) to get some more hitpoints?

No. Balances are determined by your current level and current total stat (Str or int).

The formula takes into account current level so whenever you add the stat it changes accordingly.

as a int hybrid sword, KD and stab is much mre effective then nuking and for spear, SS and ghost much mre effective in PVP, nukes for hybrids are strng but not strong enough for that long casting time.
