warrior/wiz

Post by Amarisa »

yes i thought of another crazy build

i was thinking have a 3 wep warrior with a wiz sub earth fence, mesh root, invis, lvl 80 invis that hides up to 8 people, detect(maybe), lighting impact(fear), and charged squall

reasons why i think this could work very well....
your a warrior you can tank enough to kill someone and with earth fence tanking phy people is made easy

mesh root would bind people so you know keep them in one place if there running

invis be a ninja ya know

teleport massive mobility (and thats a huge factor in alot of things)

light impact would put fear so they wont be able to attack you (= winz)

charged squall would kb people so ya know be able to pot again and not die

so what ya think? i think it could be a useful build what do you guys think?

Tried it once, it was okay but i found tht a warlock or cleric sub is more useful. Fear is pretty awesome tho.
Wish the best for raphaell666

Not worth it, and this is why:

Earth fence - Good warriors tank str people easily already (exception being rogue in DD), especially with 1h on and the 1h passive. Earth fence only lasts 20 seconds anyway.

Mesh root - If they were running you could just sprint assault them rather than having to rely on an 80% chance skill.

Invi - Most people have it pk2 edited. Also, warriors don't have much to gain by being invisible, because they can't kill in 1 hit when they come out of invi. Crystal invi can be pk2 edited as well, and it only lasts for 30 secs, with a cooldown of something like 2 minutes.

Teleport - Wizards mostly use this to get into safe zone because they can't tank, since you're a warrior you should not have that problem. If speed is a big factor just get a speed pot or go bard sub.

Fear - again, that 80% probability is not reliable when you really need it. Warriors have many skills that interrupt attacks so fear is not necessary.

Charged squall - Works well but redundant since warriors can stun/kb/kd already.

Not to be a party pooper but as others have said before, almost any other sub would be better for a warrior, with the possible exception of bard.

didnt know how long it lasted never used so eh

Mesh root - If they were running you could just sprint assault them rather than having to rely on an 80% chance skill.

because if you bind them in place more then just you can get them

Invi - Most people have it pk2 edited. Also, warriors don't have much to gain by being invisible, because they can't kill in 1 hit when they come out of invi. Crystal invi can be pk2 edited as well, and it only lasts for 30 secs, with a cooldown of something like 2 minutes.

surprise attack on the wiz with LT? im sure you could kill alot of them if they dont notice you. pk2 edit or not you can do more then you think with my rogue iv always been able to take out tons of people even if they had pk2 edits

Teleport - Wizards mostly use this to get into safe zone because they can't tank, since you're a warrior you should not have that problem. If speed is a big factor just get a speed pot or go bard sub.

umm chinese version of phantom? sprint assault in cool down and you shield bash you gana walk over there? or you gana teleport over and surprise them?

Fear - again, that 80% probability is not reliable when you really need it. Warriors have many skills that interrupt attacks so fear is not necessary.

why not have more why not make then unable to attack you for some time?

Charged squall - Works well but redundant since warriors can stun/kb/kd already.

so what if shield bash is 80% when i use axes i hardly ever get a stun when i need it so why not have more?

I think we've agreed this one isn't very useful.

Mesh root - If they were running you could just sprint assault them rather than having to rely on an 80% chance skill.
because if you bind them in place more then just you can get them
I'm not sure what you're trying to say here. If you bind them and it fails, they will just get further away from you and it will NOT stop their attack. If you bind them and it works, you still have to run/teleport to them, whereas if you sprint you will already be next to them and their skill (if any) is likely interrupted.

That's besides the point because you're talking about a warrior, not a rogue in DD/CE. You don't need invi to kill a wiz in LT, any old attack will do unless they're in bless or is superbuffed, in which case a cleric overheal is the best choice. And if they're invi and you go invi, what's to stop them from staying invi? 2 invi people pvping.. sounds fun.

Sprint is only about 3 seconds of cooldown, around the same as phantom. Also, teleport never goes as far as phantom does (21m for Euro vs 23.5m for Chinese at 100).

Fear - again, that 80% probability is not reliable when you really need it. Warriors have many skills that interrupt attacks so fear is not necessary.
why not have more why not make then unable to attack you for some time?
Because fear takes 3 seconds to cast and you HAVE to use a staff for it, and it can be pilled off. KD takes half a second to do and you keep your damage going, plus it gives you a 50% damage increase on the next skill if it works. There's also almost no cooldown in turn rising while fear has 15 sec cooldown.

Charged squall - Works well but redundant since warriors can stun/kb/kd already.
so what if shield bash is 80% when i use axes i hardly ever get a stun when i need it so why not have more?
Let's see, shield crush, bash, turn rising, daredevil, axis quiver, sudden twist, and sprint assault will ALL either kb/kd/stun, and all have very short cooldowns. Why would you switch to a staff to do kb while doing absolutely NO damage?

warrior/lock or warrior/cleric is just a cookie cutter build i want more something differnt example this

You can do it if you like, just don't expect to excel at pvp.

I had a warrior / wizard before I went back to my chinese char ...

The build can do just fine against non-cleric builds....though you will need to rely moreso on grains to pvp (like warrior / rogue).

The kb is nice too. Yea, it does shit damage, but shied bash doesn't kb 5 people at a time, which can come into handy at certain times.

Invisibility is nice too, especially for jobbing ...not sure if they've changed crystal invis, but you didn't need a staff to keep it up.

Warrior / Wiz can also detect both invisible classes (rogue or wiz)...which can come into handy, though the invis glitch can be more effective...though you can't really see people when doing that...

and of course the statuses come into handy...

Bind, Combustion, and Fear (2nd books come more into handy since it's AoE)

Earth Fence might only last 20secs, but having 46% physical damage absorption is pretty nice, regardless of how long it lasts.

Then there's Vital, Fences, Screens, and Skins for 1vs1 and Group Pvp...

Even the seemingly most useless skills can have its uses dependant on condition.

Exactly the reason why you should go with cleric ( bless, ress, abso's), a tank cleric can save the whole party.
