Bards at ongs farming (Discuss + vid request)

I'm srsly thinking about leveling up bard & delevel wizard skills when i reach level 80 . just for farming . coz i heard it has instant casting skills + 28% mp save at level 80 .

so i wanted to know how good is bards at ongs farming . & why are people farming with wizards not bards ??

& if you guys can get me a vid of a 80+ bard at ongs spot .

People use wiz's to pfarm their chars for a few reasons:
1. Wizards do better damage
2. Wizards have better/more AoE nukes
3. Wizards can pfarm at lvl 64 easily

If you want to farm at ongs Bards is the best choice .

but get it to level 90 and try get good 85+5 or even better 90+4/5 to 1 hit pt ongs and with 90+5 maybe 1 hit champion pt ong .

as bards with good connection noone can ks you cause of the crazy fast nukes and the recharge +aoe too ...mp pot wise bards is also the best you will only need to go town for repair the weapon and buy just little bit mp pots , cause mana orbit is just that good .

A bard is what I call a "poor man's wizard".

Some of the pluses for bards, imho:

1-lower mp consumption (if you time it right, ZERO mp pots)
2-noise to avoid that party ong when you're already on a party giant
3-discord wave to save the noobs you're plvling, in case an ong gets that far
4-guard tambour lasts longer than earth barrier, meaning more survivability (doesn't matter much at ongs)

Some of the negatives (or positives for wizards)

-takes longer to kill, even with fast casting nukes
-wizards have more nukes available to use
-wizards can take care of that pesky party giant quickly, meaning # 2 above isn't a problem

I have a level 82 bard/cleric with 78 skills and halfway decent gear (no SoS harp). A level 82 wizard would easily one-shot that party giant that takes me two nukes to kill. I don't use any pots at all with a cleric sub, though. The problem is that a bard/cleric still doesn't kill quite as fast. He's close, but no cigar.

In a pinch, it's still very nice to pfarm with though.

Edit: one of these days I'll take a video, once I get a better harp, the +3 I have is only meh

Being farmed currently with a Bard.

Pros
- 1-Shots Regular mobs, Party Mobs
- 2-Shots Party Champs, Giants
- Mana Orbit = No MP needed = No gold spent (After 1 month of farming, the total cost was 87K for repairs)
- Super fast nukes, easily KS any Wizard (In fact, the spot we're farming, we KSed from a level 90 Wizard)
- Speed Buff = No need for speed potions or scrolls
- Less MP Consumption in general

Cons
- Party Giants are not killed quickly enough; Can be KSed by other nuker builds.
- Only 2 AOE skills (Booming Wave and Weird Chord)
- Chinese nukers could KS with Lion Shouts, although it can go both ways depending on the nuker

The Bard is a very good class for farming. Not much gold is needed and the attacks are very fast. Farming at low level mobs is all about speed- damage is irrelevant as long as it's "just enough" to kill the mobs. The faster you are, the faster you will finish farming. Wizards are not a problem at all. We've had a few try to take the spot, but Bard nukes will kill the mob while the Wizard is still loading their nukes, so you end up with a very frustrated Wizard. Only mob a Wizard will be able to KS off a Bard is a Party Giant because a Bard's damage isn't high enough to kill it quickly. Party Champions and Giants take 2 nukes to kill (time to cast = equivalent or 1 Wizard nuke) while all other mobs will be killed in 1 shot.

@666 - err, mostly your nukes, noise if you want, not really required. Guard tambour and mana cycle to reduce mp usage and hp pot usage. I rarely use the absolute damage skills, just take a second to cycle myself and I'm good for another 30 seconds. As a bard you have so much mp anyway.

I farm with a lvl 90 bard with an 85+5 harp and it works REALLY well, and i dont spend any money because of mana orbit

iam lvl 67 bard/cleric and i hit about 13k on a pt ong, and i got a lvl 64 sos +5 harp but i dont have ints on my gear so if i had i could hit like 15k
so thats not 1 hit

@Fug_Dup No way a nuker with lion shouts can ks a bard, maybe they can launch 1 shout. But the bard has already killed it when you want to launch the second shout. (I know it because few weeks ago there was some annoing nuker trying to ks, so I got my bard to there
