sp farm build: is this a correct nuker build?

Alright, first of all: my highest level character is 7. But I'm a quick learner and read everything I could on this game as quickly as possible before maknig my character, so if I miss an important detail, tell me, i'm new, but i'm trying my hardest to be the best from the start.

Anyways, here is the build I thought of using, this is based on what many guides here and whatnot have said about the nuker, tell me if this sounds normal, if i made a major mistake. These are the stats I put into the sp calculator (http://sro.mmosite.com/x/) using assumptions and what was told to me on these guides.

Also, I used this chart (http://stud3.tuwien.ac.at/~e0125557/sro/spgain.html) and I think I calculated that with a 9 gap untill level 10 and then 5 gap untill 14 (then ultimately 16) I could sp farm lvl 16, die if i reach 17 and then do 16 over again till I get the needed sp.

The calculator said 220,957 sp needed for that build. Sooo


I calculated 8250 sp from lvl1-16 (not counting quests, but i can make up the sp lost there by farming), then not counting that sp or the sp gained at 16 farming I calculated 171197 sp from 17-70 with a 4 skill gap. So I would have to farm all the rest of that at level 16 and die alot to get myself to stay at that level, from what I understand.

Anyways, what do you guys think of this build and this math. Did I do the math right? I've never played this game past level 7 so im going off basically what I understand from you guys. Also, is the build right? what skills did I forget, why do I need them, and which ones did I put in that I shouldn't have? I don't know from many posts SPECIFICALLY which skills to take, just to take those masteries that high, get the nukes, get the imbues, and that's it, heh. Help me out! What do you think? What did I do wrong? What needs fixing? Please try to help me with the build I tried to do.

It seems like you have done your homework - that is pretty much exactly my build. The only thing i would say though is for effective sp farming you need a 9 lvl gap at 16 not a 5 lvl one. Other than that sounds about right (oh u might want to get the first book of maybe the ghost spear and soul spear because you will struggle getting to lvl 30 without any weapon skills) Enjoy the game

Actually i have lvled from 25 (when i gave up farming) to 52 in a little over 6 weeks and am only now short of sp and farming again. Nukers lvl so fast that you can keep a decent gap and still lvl faster than almost anyone else.

Still though. this build is based solely on a 70 cap, and will be very hard to follow through with after cap is raised to 80 or 90. Either you'll have to delvl skills like mad, or have skills 10-20 lvls below your own lvl ( which will suck )

Or well, you'll have 35 MasteryPoints left. I guess that'll get you to 90 if you focus on only two masteries from that point.



You really should consider dropping the spear skills though, and get HP increase gear instead, save 14,4k SP right there..

Ice isnt necessary. If your gonna take it only do with 60 ranks and only take the passive -- thats 84 phys AC right there.

For my nuker i had planned to level as fire-focused with lightning 10 levels behind (but i rushed it to 12 for Grasswalk lvl 1 and Piercing force lvl 2) until i hit level 70, then farm at cap.

I intended to go Heuskal 10 + Fire 10 up to level 10, then around 12 i had lightning up to 8 for piercing force --expecting 12 by level 13 or so-- then i would keep fire up to level and lightning 10 behind and around mid 2x low 3x i would level Heuskal to 20 and grab the second level passive.

Im using the same method with my Glaive Str, keepign fire 10 behind my Heuskal and taking "bare minimum" skill so i cap keep that 0 rank gap whole game.

My opinion on SP farming is that its a lame waste of time and money and you could probably make it up farming at cap for a few weeks rather than busting your ass at low levels for something so seemigly pointless.

Alright, first, what is SMG, and second, do you mean that if I have Ice, I only need it for the phys AC? What about sleet storm and the guard series and nova series? (if guard is the AC one then I mean the other one i have, i forget).

but with 30 heuskal won't I lose HP? I guess it makes sense, though, I get a little, but don't waste points on alot.

SMG = Skill Mastery Gap, which it sounds like you already know what that is.

And yes, with 30 Heuksai you won't get the entire passive, BUT the new alchemy allows you to hammer your gear with HP bonuses. So you don't need to go past 30 anymore.

Yes, in short. Its an innefectual waste of SP's imho, but if you really want it you can go for it.

Alright, 30 spear, 1 wolf bite, one ghost spear, and max out the hp one.

70 lightning, and according to you, max out everything in lightning (since you didn't tell me to take away from what I put above, just told me to add basically what I was missing)

and 70 fire with fire force series, flame wave series, and flame devil series as the only ones maxed out?

If that's the case, the calculator comes out at 145,020, which with a 4 level gap from 17 on would actually leave me with 30,000 extra sp, and with a 3 gap if i do everything as I said above, go through 16 at a 9 gap, then at 17 lower it to a 3 gap and pay to lvl 7 with a 3 gap I gain a total of (not counting quest xp!!) 146153, which is exactly enough for the build in this post. Obviously for quests i'll farm a little at 16 just for the hell of it, but what's a few hours of that just to enjoy the quests of the game?

Anyways, correct any of that, freedom, as i'm inquiring on what you're trying to tell me and making sure im clear.

Get your Fire to level 7 and get the Imbue now, along with the 1st skill of whatever weapon you choose. That's all, just those 2 skills, with their masteries at lvl7. Keep them at level 7 until you're done farming after 16. The 9 level gap.

Ill keep this brief cuz it hurts my friggen finger to type.

Two options: Farm now, or farm later.

Farm now and you get every skill up to level from now till end-game and have to farm only to get the unecessary's. This means leveling the imbue nukes and piercing force as well as your grasswalks every level till level 70, then farming for concentration, and passive from lightning and whatever other skills from fire you want, DONT TOUCH FIRE PASSIVE.

Farm later means deciding if you want fire or lightning as a sub-tree, most people say lightning for subtree cuz fire = more dmg. Keep your primary tree at your level and your sub-tree at a 5 or 10 rank gap of your primary tree, start at 5 gap and if u start to get SP issues drop the gap down closer to 10, but never go deeper than a 10 gap.

For farming later i would only raise piercing force, nukes, lion shout, fire imbue, and the grasswalk series. Out of my personal prefernce i would use fire as a primary tree and lightning as a secondary, but i would push lightning to 12 after i got 10 in heuskal (lvl 1 passive) for grasswalk lvl 1 and piercing force lvl 2, then i would raise fire up and follow heuskal through to 20 and put lvl 2 passive, all before level 22, where i would need to start raising Lightning again. From here just max out piercing force, nukes, lion shout, fire imbue, and the grasswalk till you hit cap and can farm more SP for other trees / skills you wanted to include.

Ok..Ive been reading the stuff u guys write and stuff ..From what i understand u sp farm at lvl 16 and get about 15-20k sp.What do you do after that .Do you bring ur skills upto lvl 16 like your imbue.(mines fire) And do u bring up your wep. skills and what about the lighting and ice skills.

68 - 4th book of +phy defense thingy (2nd in the list
90 - so you can actually use the cold nuke to (1st book = crap, 2nd book = nice large AoE


If you don´t want to sp farm to much now, but mainly later skipp these:
-. Cold: skipp this as it should be your last thing to add
-. Fire: Flame wave-Arrow lvl 1 only, just to get the 2nd book. Also drop Flame Devil Force Series (passive
-. Lightning: Ghost walk-phantom lvl 1 only. Same for Concentration Series, book 1 lvl 1. Lion Shout Series at a low lvl (book 3 lvl 1??) as it eat tons of sp

Maybe consider getting:
-. Fire: Fire Shield Series!! Fire Protection Series, not a must but when you farm a shitload anyway might wanna get this to. Fire Wall Series, as you want atleast 1 wall.. maybe even at a lower lvl.. just for those times you need it.



Ofcourse it´s all up to you.. I´m just adding what I think would be good. I recommend to just farm a little at 16, and then see how it turns out (when /how you want to farm the rest)

Troo, I understand what you said, but make somehting clear for me, for a skill what is a level and a book? I only have lvl 12 in game, so not many skill points.. i understand only so much as i've done, heh. I assume hte level of the skill is the same skill getting stronger.. book is the next skill to the right of it?

books are the skills , like ilusion chain and billow chain under bisheon
these are 2 books , both books can go up to lvl 9 and belong to the same series aka chain sword attack series

Good done. But in my view there are some skills you don't need... and also the cap needs to be calculated in (max. lvl 90):

Heuksal: 60
Soul Spear
Passive (max.)

Since you are already lvling this series, you could you also get the Soul Spear series. And also not sure, but if you can get Soul Spear Mars at lvl 60 mastery, great. (not home now so can't get in SRO)

Ice: 60
Frost-Guard Series
Frost Nova Series
Cold Armor

Ice is good... But the nuke ain't anything special. It doesn't deal high dmg, only the distance (area) is great. The only things you need are the buff and the freezing move, the passive is good too, but not neccesary.

Fire: 90
Fire Force Series (max.)
Flame Arrow Series (max.)

Enough. These two moves are everything very good in fire. Passive, ehhh you are a nuker, why do waste sp in passive... and you will also get heuksa; to 60, so 60% more phy dmg with a spear.

Lightning has the most usefull skills for a nuker. You don't need the Thunder Force Series since you already got Fire Force Series, and you can't use them at once (fire is more powerful also). Piercing Force, best for nukers, max it. Grass walk, max it. Lion Shout, a great finishing move, later deals high dmg. Concentration, higher parry ratio is also pretty good. Thunderbolt, a nuke . Passive, extra parry ratio won't hurt you neither .
