Force Blade or Force Glavie?
Force Blade or Force Glavie?
well the subject pretty much said it all.
keep in mind i already have a high lvl bowman with light and fire so dont recomend bow pls.
sp is not a problem.
masteries would look like 90 wep/90fire/90force
which is better in pvp and in group pvp's (jobbing, fortress war, etc)
i apoligize if people have already asked this question but i couldn't find a clear answer or what anyone thought was better.

Re: Force Blade or Force Glavie?
Force blader is better, IMO, because a force glaiver doesn't have any defense while casting vital spots. That makes him even more vulnerable.
Generally, glaivers need 90 ice, so force would leave them without masteries.
90 fire
90 force
90 bicheon
30 cold is the best blader build, IMO.

Cold would make me an ultimate tanker, but will I be able to kill with the vital spots??

Why do glaiviers need 90 ice?

Probably not. Bladers can only kill with Fire Imbue. It would be cool though to use Ice Imbue + Force debuff + status effect chains....

Why do glaiviers need 90 ice?
Because they die against they own kind, and are always a magnet for STR opponents.

Re: Force Blade or Force Glavie?
theres only one build I've had problems killing and that's a blader with 70 ice. imo force is sort of a waste of a lvl 90 mastery.

Re: Force Blade or Force Glavie?
Bladers + Force = Redundant, you don't need force for casting def. decrease spells because it is already in bladers combos. I prefer glavie for high damage + stun + knockback + the force spells = extreme damage.

Re: Force Blade or Force Glavie?
At the 100 cap force gets a 80% stun move so i have been told. I guess the question is who does this benefit more? Bladers of glaivers? Personally i'd rather a force blader.
Re: Force Blade or Force Glavie?
Keep in mind that sword also has stun at 100 cap, I would take glaive as bladers already have debuffs built into sword, and glaives sorta lack any defense skills imo, stun doesnt always work and KB doesnt always work, but a blader can spam KD which stops you from doing anything at all, unlike stun where it can bug and you can still attack thru it, 100 force gives glaivers the best of the blade world and more defense.

Its actually quite nice at 90 cap, since theres the pill bug. Chain thill they pill then vitalspot their azz off.
Again, im against the 30 ice for a str char, i like 20 ice and 10 light better, since you still get a 3 or 4 % mag attack increase.
90 force fire bich 20 ice 10 light works best.
Force glaivers sux, they also need snow to tank anything.

Re: Force Blade or Force Glavie?
Force Blade is repetitive:
You already have Division and Impotent from your chain attacks
Getting Force will also have Division and Impotent.
Force Glaive:
For those of you who say weak defense when casting vital spots: It is not impossible to switch to a shield before casting Vital Spots. The damage of Glaive is higher than Blade, therefore you can take more advantage of the Force skills.
However in my opinion, (And still testing this) a dual weapon Glaive/Blader will be better than both Glaive/Force and Blade/Force. 90Glaive/90Blade/90Fire/30Force
You get Vital Spot Muscle with Force level 30, which is 43 parry reduce, about 1/6 of my current Parry ratio at level 90, which is already pretty significant. If you think you walk slow, buy Drugs. I'm rich enough to afford them constantly, so it doesn't bother me.
Higher defense, more damage, more attack skills with debuffs, get Division, Impotent, Bleed, Dull ( You only get a select few choosing Blade or Glaive ), can have high block, high mag/phys defense for 15 seconds. You can view the topic here ( Although its fairly new, you can expect more to come ): http://www.silkroadforums.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=99707
