Chain Spear Series

Post by RUMS »

Chain Spear - nachal and Chain Spear - shura both have the same requirment and i read that you should just pump 1 of those unless you have alot of SP.

So basically which is better because i really dont know.. Oh and can someone explain the % beside the damage to me?

Nachal hits a lot faster. Makes for a good kill. Throw -> Nachal -> Ghost Spear.

What about damage wise? Which hit better?

Also, what does the 57% and 78% beside the phy attack power of shura and nachal means?

The % is a "multiplier" it is used to increase the base damage of each hit by a certain percentage. Say I have a move called:
  • Chain Attack Cool Move
  • 400-600(100%)
  • 5 Hits

That means that the minimum damage would be Increased by 100% and the Maximum damage will be increased by 100%. Of course, since it's a chain each attack will do a certain degree of damage within it's given range.

Although this may be true, I believe this percent refers to the speed of the skill relative to a normal attack. Where 100% would be the same speed as a normal hit, 175% takes 75% longer to use the attack and 57% would be 43% faster than a normal attack. Due to the speed of the attack the damage also varies accordingly. Skills that take longer to cast, deal more damage, whereas skills that take shorter time to cast, deal less damage.

Being a glaiver myself, I have noticed two things related to Chain Spear - Nachal:
1. The damage output of Nachal is less than that of Shura always. ( Most likely due to the amount of attacks. )
2. Chain Spear - Tiger usually gives out more damage than Nachal. ( I have no clue why it would, but it does for me. )

So if you are using these skills for grinding, I suggest Shura; reason being: more damage, less mana usage.
Furthermore, the more advanced skills Chain Spear - Dragon, prerequisite = Shura, does more damage than Chain Spear - Pluto, prerequisite = Nachal, for the same reason as #1.

Overall I would suggest getting Shura over Nachal.
Shura has higher damage than Nachal. They are both prerequisites for more advanced skills, however Shura leads to the stronger skill. Doing more damage requires the little use of other skills, which in turn requires less mana.

**Just a side note.
If you plan to use these skills for PVP, don't... They aren't really good for that, not even at the 100 cap. Higher burst of damage will be better than a consistent damage skill. Soul-Depart Series (Soul Spear), Ghost-Spear Series, and Heuksal Spear Series are the main ones used in PVP at 90 cap. In the 100 cap you will include Flying Dragon Spear Series to your arsenal; the two hit Flying Dragon attack at 100 cap will produce more damage than the Soul Depart Series at 100 cap. Currently Soul-Depart Series is the strongest attack glaivers have at 90cap.
