Question on SP deleveling.

Post by feba »

I've heard some of this- exactly what does it take to delevel skill masteries?

I read a guide on STR Glavie I liked, but I've already gotten to lv10 in Force.

Obviously, the final level cap of 140 is a LONG way away, so I don't really need to worry about it screwing me up in the short term- but what about the long term?

Obviously lv10 force won't help for crap later on, but how much does it take to delevel the skill? I'd read about it costing money, but I didn't really see any FAQs or guides about it, so I'd like to know. I figure if the cost is low enough, I can just leave it like that for awhile, then take care of it when it's practically a drop in the bucket, but if it will have a long term negative effect, I might consider rerolling.

Also, secondary question, is there a certain amount of Skill XP you get from quests and monsters that turns into SP you spend on skills? Or does it increase, like XP does, and if so, is there a way to tell how many Skill XP you need for you next SP?

But... that doesn't actually answer my question.

I'm asking how much it costs and how it is done so that I can decide for myself.

EDIT: I did a search on cursed heart, I think that answers most of my questions for now. Thanks

EDIT2: Ok, way to speak too soon. This looks like I can only delevel *skills* for SP, not masteries. So i'm stuck having ten mastery points in Force, then? =/

EDIT3: Again, way to speak too soon. Reading the closing points of a guide can be good too :banghead:

You have to delevel the skills within each mastery before the mastery level can be deleveled.

For example: you can't delevel the Fire mastery below level 20 if you have leave 20 fire skillls (imbue, fire shield, etc..).

Level 10 in force would be really cheap to delevel since it's so low.

Hi

I got a question on deleveling and level.

To determine your level during trade or CTF, does it mean the game looks at both your character's level and highest skill mastery to determine your level. Meaning if you have deleveled from level 50 to level 30 but your highest skill mastery is still at 50, your character will still be level 50 when determining your level during CTF or generating NPC thieves.

Therefore it means that if I want to delevel my character to level 40 so that I could have one star protection during trade, if means that I have to delevel both my character level and highest skill mastery to level 40?

Anybody care to advise?

I have tested this on thieves spawn on trades.

Character level 39
Highest Mastery 49

Thieves spawned from level 47 to 49 on 1 star trade

Character level 39
Highest Mastery 46

Thieves spawned from level 43 to 46 on 1 star trade.

You mean like this, right?

Highest Mastery 39
Character level 49

Highest Mastery 39
Character level 46

I've been on a murder account, that was a former level 76 wizard. It was level 28 when I logged in and guess what? I was the only level 28, surrounded by a bunch of 7x. How fair. >_<
