Yes you should use blade. And no the build is not useless, just rare to be seen. Most ppl with hybrids go int.

i would imagine that str bladers would be hybrid, if only by just putting a few points into int, because of all the chains and skills they use. wouldnt you run out of mp rather quickly if youre doing lots of skills?

i dont get why people say this.... when you MP goes low you use a pot... simple as that...

as long as you have you auto set right... you wont use anymore or anyless pots as a person with the same build with the force passive...

yes, you do end up going through quite a bit of MP pots(at least i did), but it evens out because pure STR bladers have a tendency to go through less HP pots, dues to higher defense, and a shield to block hits. i know with my cold blader at least, i could grind on mobs my level using 200 MP pots and not using a single HP pot sometimes, before heading back to town due to weapon breakage. of course, the cold skills help with that, but being pure STR has a lot to do with it too.

personaly i think this build is not good

str weapons do not alow str ppl to go hybrid , blades and glaives simply suck in the hands of a hybrid , the more int you take as a str hybrid the more youl actualy start to suck

this is couse magic damage and reinforce on weapons like blades and glaives is to low to benefit from , esspecialy with your low mag ballance ,

Your str hybrid ballance would lower your exta mag damage to the point where it would hardly be noticeble at all , except for the fact your critts will be lower and your life would be lower than that of a full str ,
And you would most probbly suck in pvp couse of damage penetration vs enemy defence stuff

in short if you want some extra mana and mag defence on your str char , you can put a few points into int , i would say no more than 30 in total any more and you will run the risk of screwing up your ballance to much
and you would still lose a chunk of life in doing so




ooh and Geobot the only reason your blader used less hp pots is couse of ice , bladers do take less damage per hit , true , and thay do have block , but thay also take longer to kill something with all the dancing around thay do , so in total your pot spendings would even out with that of a glaiver . the only way to realy save on pots is to kill befor it gets to you , or use ice in pvm ,

I would possibly say glavie/fire would be better for a 2:1 str int char as the attacks from a glavie are a lot stroger than a blade. the extra int will be helpfull for fire users to increase the magical aspect of the attack.

because i was thinking in increasing my int to have better imbue..which one is better? higher int to have better imbue or just stick to pure str blader skills?

saw some thread where he has 1:1 but str higher than int by 10 i think..and he said it owns a lot of people..he uses glaive/spear..

any opinions?

Man, I'm really not enjoying seeing everyone bash on str hybrids. As of right now, that's basically what I am. I'd say go a few more levels with 1-2 int points each, then all str, and if you have enough patience to hit 50 or so, I think you'll own with a blade. That's what I'm hoping I will do. Good luck with whatever choice you choose, you really can't go wrong in this game, everything is a right move if you enjoy it more (BESIDES SCAMMING).

im still in the process of sp farming but right now im confused what build is good.. a 2int:1str sword or a pure str blader...a saw a lot of videos of these two..they both are good...im just afraid that a 2int:1str sword build might have low hp..a few hits from the glaive might kill me..

with the new alchemy, u can add up to 1200 hp i heard. if that's not enough, u can get the spear passive for the hp boost too.

Well, if you really want to go hybrid, I’d suggest you go for the int/sword build. Wanna stick to str? Go pure str all the way.
