Making a new character

Post by triber23 »

Hi

I'm making a new character, which I've never done before, and I just had a few questions.

1. Should I make it Europe or China? What are the pros/cons of each?

2. If I make it a Europe, I want to make it either a Wizard/Warlock/Cleric/Bard, which one is the best? And what should I do for my subclass? And since I am not doing Warrior or Rouge, should I just be pure INT?

3. If a Europe goes up against and equal leveled China, who will win? (Usually)

4. What server should I make it on? I want a server that isn't botted/turkified? (Gaia)?

Thanks =)

Greetings :)

1. Euros have a bigger potion delay, but they have (generally speaking) more powerful skills than Chinese (think about DareDevil, Wizards with life control on, rogues with Dagger Desperate / Crossbow Extreme). Chinese are meant to level solo, whereas euros are designed for party play. An euro levels much better by partying and some builds have a hard time solo-ing.

2. Yes, you should be pure INT. Some people play light INT hybrid warlock/clerics, but that's not really verified yet. It might be an alternative, but pure INT is basically the way to go. Having Cleric or Bard as your main class makes you a support build. Most people play Cleric/Bard (without having one of them as a clear subclass: they max out both).

The most popular build choices are:
- Wizard / Cleric (better for party play, as opposed to Wizard / Bard, which does better solo-ing)
- Warlock / Cleric
- Warlock / Bard (another superb solo build)

3. PvP is very gear dependant. However, INT euros tend to have the following common trait: they either kill fast or get killed fast. For example, if a blader blocks a wizard's nuke and the wizard is in life control, the latter will be 1-hit by a blader skill. On the other hand, the wizard can 1-shot the blader with ease, should he not block the skill.
Stealth and invisibility is another factor that renders euros exceptionally powerful, not to mention Bless spell and warrior skills (skins, Daredevil, shield crush etc.)

4. Gaia should be a good server to get you started. You can also try Venus, there's a big legit community over there.
Carry your cross, and I'll carry mine.

well walrock cleric or warlock bard would be really good for solo, just cleric in npc light armor can solo a ptc their lvl, warlock would give you more offense then cleric and grind faster and be better at pvp, but the bard will let you run faster which could be done easily with a speed pot when its really important. warlock cleric can tank pretty good though, and kill things pretty fast just mini-nuke dot1 dot2 hit the next mob as the other one dies following you

Well, I will be soloing mainly, so what do I do to heal myself if I do Wizz/Bard?

And would Warlock/Bard be better than Wizz/Bard?

warriors are worse on them cause sprint assult, and glaivers are worse opponents for a wizzard, flying dragon fight over, cause their high hp and they in robes you have a very good chance of failing to one hit, and flying dragon is faster then a nuke and will kill you if you are in lifecontroll so it can be done to you droping out of invisible if they are paying attention

The question is... What kind of char you want?

1vs1 only
Wiz/Warlock - Debufs, stun, sleep, life thingy, meteor (not dead yet?) charged wind, earth nuke.
Warlock/Cleric - Same as above but you'll be using traps and warlock's nukes, and cleric for healing and bless spell.

Jobbing
Wiz/cler - At jobbing you won't have the time to bebbuf everyone and then kill, you will just try to kill all your enemies, so those healing bufs and bless spell are better than warlock.

Grinding
Wiz/bard - You can 1hit mobs and thanks to bard you won't get bothered running from them.
Wiz/Cleric - You can handle mobs thanks to healing and bless spell (But don't pretend to be a tank or a chinese nuker)P.S. use protector for better defence too.
Warlock/(bard/cleric) - I heard they are good at grinding, just complicated since you have to put DOT and debufs. Bard: dont get mobbed and speed, Cleric: Defence.

Hope that helped.
