Warlock, But Which One?

Post by CloudStrider »

After playing a 2H for a while I decided I wanted something relatively unique.

I am considering a Warlock, Fup_Dug's (SP?!) guides have been very instrumental in this.

This is what it comes down too -- (Please take note, I want this build to be good at PVP/Job)

1. 1H/War [Only 1H, not too keen on farming lots]

2. War/Cleric

3. Rogue/War

Thoughts?

Hey, thanks for the reply, but what is the best out of those choices.

I am actually thinking of a R/C tho. 8)

I think 1h/warlock is the most versatile one.
Will do really well in solo pvp/job as in group pvp/job.

The cleric/warlock is also an awesome build, but more of a support char though. The solo pvp can be summed up as stun/sleep  offering.
Instant death if that works, but there are ways to counter that.

Rogue/warlock. I guess this is a build for purely solo pvp/jobbing. Don't know much about that build, but I don't really like it. If i would make a euro char, i would want to party with it (both PVE as PVP). And I don't see how this build can contribute to the party.

Hmmmm... I think you're right Solid.

I'm leaning towards 1H/Warlock or War/Cleric atm.

Warlock/Cleric gets my vote ...
Nothing nicer to see than skillbar mixed with Blue and Red color

But how does it fair in PVP?

Also if you can no "It depends of the player"

Equal skill, equal gear comparison please.

Thanks.

Warlocks are awesome in PvP, better against some builds than others, Mostly a chiense killer, but should watch out for bowers. In euro, other than str builds, euros should be pretty easy to take down by a warlock.

But mind you, a lot of it comes down to how well you can manage your buttons. Because you need to cast a lot of spells to kill, to me when warlock pvp, its all about not making mistakes pressing buttons and mess up your skill flow. If you mess up, most likely the other guy would kill you.

euhm, stun? that skull thingy att (crit dmg),, and that skill who reverse the dmg your enemy should do to you agains himself,,

warlock aint that hard to pvp with,, its bassed on % (luck) not on casting as many spells as possible and die while casting them

i saw simply simple (xian sosun gay) nuking himself to death due to that reverse dmg skill xD

,,,

never ever pvp against a dual axe as warlock,, axe has some status immune thingy (not sure what lvl they get it) ,, axe is the only build who actually kills warlocks pretty easely,
if would go warlock/1h (prefer xtra deff of heavy armor)
WTS,,

water elements D3/4
fire elements D3/4
earth elements D3/4
wind elements D3/4

and a few sos´es,, look at topic

i haven't seen any warlock/cleric in actions i'm not sure about that, but either rouge/lock or 1h/lock pretty much owns 1 vs 1 (except people who has immunity from holyword/spell).

so if i were to pick one, i'll go 1h/lock for it's chances of surviving more.

warrior/lock, tanks better then rogue/lock, damage is good, and its pure str so its harder to kill then a pure int lock/cleric or bard/lock.

but if any build goes up with a lock other than a cleric. it will be a tough fight.

Frankly im in love with my warlock cleric.

I can pull of great damage, make enemies weaker, steal your hp, make you incapable of attacking even reflect your own damage back on you while still having more defense than most intl based builds.

And at the switch of a weapon i have a near ultimate tank capable of healing myself and giving myself great defense with the ability to deal the highest damaging move in the game.

Them only drawback is speed in all honesty, but i have gotten use to running slowly. Its the build for me 8)

and warlock/cleric for grinding. i was in pt 8 with a lock/cleric and just was she and i and we rox! believe me. she give me def and i give her def and we was killing mobs sabe lvl that and full STR= WARRIOR/CLERIC

Which is why warrior is better imo :P rogue already does alot of dmg, but low defense, and warlock doesnt rly compliment its weakness's.
