light or fire imbue for pure int nuker.
light or fire imbue for pure int nuker.
I'm not at all new to this game and don't need people to tell me to ditch fire if i want a succesful build. im making a pure nuker basically 90 fire light ice. 30 bicheon i believe. what i am wondering is if i should use lightning imbue or fire. fire does more damage but lightning lowers parry and has an aoe affect, what is most suggested for this build, im leaning towards fire.

Write "light" on one piece of paper and "fire" on another piece of paper and then put both pieces of paper into a hat. Next pick on out and go with that.
Or
Since most of the time you will be only using imbue in PvP, PvM or fighting one person at a time, you dont want other creeps to fight you when you are fighting another creep, so go fire.
Both options sound reasonable to me

Imbue doesn't really matter for a pure nuker. The difference in damage comes in just when you use weapon skills. For example, on my hybrid spear:
Level 65 fire imbue damage: 8700
Level 49 light imbue damage: 8400
However, when it's about weapon skills, my SSS with fire imbue hits for 8k, and with thunder imbue, it hits for around 6,5 - 7k. Big difference here.
IMO, level both ice and fire imbues. Fire has more power, but you have plenty of AoE nukes with both fire and light trees, so ice imbue really helps when grinding and the damage difference is insignificant

wait so, go ice imbue? sounds reasonable seeing as i wont be doing jack shit with my weapon. should i bother with getting the ice nukes? i was planning on it.

Get ice rain, if you have the SP, but not ice shot. I've leveled ice shot to get the book 3 ice nuke (level 70) but it wasn't worth the SP. Total waste.
Ice rain is cool, though. Combine it with ice imbue, and you get a very high chance of frostbite / freeze. Useful when you're AoE grinding and you run into trouble (too many mobs or such). Also, keep in mind that with all of that AoE, your ice imbue will transfer to a lot of mobs. Learn to AoE grind: lure mobs with lion shouts and flame wave arrow, then finish off with ice rain, meteor and maybe some light nukes

it's a non-question actually. if you doing 90 for fire/light/ice and thinking no further than 90 caps, the natural choice of imbue if fire for higher damage.
i'd agree ice is great for a 2nd imbue, if you can afford the sp.

why would ppl say that this build is boring? maybe its boring for you but all ppl agree with u.
in my opinion i find glavier and archers are more boring.
its a matter of how you want to play your char and skills and you like it to be played.
btw: i choose fire as main imbue and cold for secondary.
