So I can't decide on a new class...

Post by VcentG »

I like the Pacheon skills so that's cool... but I also just like euro chars in general, and axes look pretty awesome when fighting, plus it's less common.

BOW!!!

AXES!??!

BOW!?!

A- you get the idea... I like nukers too, but I'm trying not to make one.

Warriors are cool, but they have a massive lack of skills because they share the same amount of series as every other class, yet they only pick about half the skills of it because the other half are for the other 2 weapons. AND I LIKE MY SKILLS. Also, euro chars seem to be easier to level... and use less SP.

Bow is just awesome... because its a bow, the skills are awesome, basically I almost have no issues with Bow since I can buy the 10k quiver of arrows. However, dual axes seem pretty cool, and then there's the problem with all Chinese chars... SP Farming (because you use weap, and 3 elements) and I have got to say, I'm not someone who can farm so easily. I can't afford any SOX bow at level 16 for bandit den or anything like that, and since I'm moving to Venus, I don't have friends to lend me one.

My recommendation is dont go dual axes, they are good only against certain builds. if you really want dual axes i would also farm 2H and/or 1H and then decide my second mastery cleric or warlock.
Pure str bow is a good build, but farming it (as every chinese build) is a complete torture.

+1

and since there are few dual axers getting a good one shouldnt be too much of a problem. but once again going warrior you should probably go for the other two weps which would mean farming.

and since both would require farming, pacheon would be a lot easier since it has ranged attacks. well at least it would be an advantage before your warrior can get sprint assault. and i find farming is easier if you're farming towards a goal. not an sp goal but like a skill goal and since chinese get these more often it may be easier for you. in any case good luck with your decision

pure str bow pwns! you can own at pvp cuz of the 5 arrow shot and knockback and if you made a ice /fire bowman more pwnage cuz u got magical defense from fire and physical defense from ice and ice freezes and u can knockback and you have your long distance range which makes it very hard to kill you!
Life throws ya curve balls, and theres only one way to take it you choose..

This game is about gear. When you have a one hand sword/shield warrior, you won't be killing anyone unless you crit (often). Same with 2h sword, this idea applies to all builds that use physical attacks. If you go Dual Axe and want to PvP well just buy high-crit axes, then watch people cry as crits fly over their head 9/10 times. Same with bow, if you want to be good with Bow you NEED a High Crit Bow. Any Weapon that does relatively average damage needs a High Critical. Bow already does decent damage, you just make it better with a High-Crit Weapon.

I always get crappy gear XD. I'm not a money maker, so I never buy anything. And I never make high level friends that have old gear they can let me level up with.

Anyway, I'm going bow... but does anyone know the ups and downs between pure str bow and 70:70 bow?

Pure STR: More HP.
Hybrid: Higher Non-Crit damage and Higher Mana shield potential.

Their critical hits are the same.

70:70 Bow, it has nice damage. And, you can nuke but won't do as much as a Pure Int.

I'm kinda liking hybrid.

More MP
More Damage

Why have more HP if you can kill before they get to you?

I never really pvp, so we're talking 90% pve.
