Im an archer pure strength and i wanted to know the pros and cons of going fire or cold.

dont do bow. its a waste of time for pvp. only do it if you plan on pve and only pve.

Bows make great characters for all jobs.
Trader: You don't have to run around killing all the npc thief spawns and aggro monsters. Simply run up a few feet and shoot, unlike say glaive for example. (granted they do have dragon flow but that doesn't 1hit everything)

Hunter/Thief: You can shoot down them when they are running away on horses, or use cold and slow them down a bit even if they have auto pill on.

PVP: Throw up a Crystal wall or something of the sort (for me it adds 2-3k health basically) it tanks a few hits while you can pull of strongbow which is a nuker's worst nightmare. Also, if find it also impossible for bladers to kill me unless several of them mob. They deal weak damage but fast. You deal medium damage decently fast, even over their block, you still do roughly about the same damage. Granted, glaivers you might have a problem with but hey, you can't p@wnz them all.

PVE: Bow users lvl decently fast. What i did was i used the fire imbue for farming and cold imbues for giants and champs, and then when i lvled from 16-about 32 i used cold imbue and used roughly about 50 hp pots for every 250-400 mp pots. After that i switched to fire mainly for higher damage output on non ranged attack monsters. If you want to spfarm 20-45k, carry lightning cold fire and Pacheon to 33, then leave light and cold there and just carry fire and pacheon up mainly. You can lvl up cold as you can spare the sp or just farm around the cap like i'm gonna do.

Ignore all the flak about bow users being no good, ask some of the guys that actually use bows and not the noobs who just flame about it being bad

Right on mate! Bows are pretty decent when you want to have fun PVPing a high leveled player and running for your life. I do this all the time to motivate myself to run to training grounds (I'm saving money).

Bows help you save hp potions everytime. I get use ice to slow down the enemy and by the time it gets to me it's practically dead. I get 1-hit by regular Bandits on average and 2-3 hits from champions.

Any info about the fight? I heard that the Bow user was in zerk mode while his enemy wasn't.. Is that true?

not sure about that but if the zerk is there use it imo

hey tsunami reading your sig, i find a few problems.

1: you will run out of mastery lvls as they will be upping it to 80 soon
then to 90 and maybe higher.
2: you don't need 250k sp to max all of those trees.
