WIZ or Warrior?

Im debating to make a Wizard or a warrior i know that they are both very strong but i dont know what to chose can u please help me decide.Ahh Atm i have a nearly lvl 80 rogue almost farmed. i really enjot melee damage a lot. I hear that wizards are very powerful but warriors can beat them becuase they have all those sheilds (mana skin).so should i re sp farm my rogue and turn him rogue/bard to rogue/warrior or make a new guy.I like tanks a lot but i have recognized wizards do a lot of damage doing 22k damage to a lvl 80 fully farmed glavier to seeing my friend with stand most of yarkans summons.I like both so much but its hard for me to chose.

They both have different styles of play. As a very simplified comparison, wizard is a damage dealer and warrior is a tanker. Both charachter types are fun to play regardless. Give us more details on your expectations in a charachter, or something about yourself and your style of play to better give you advice on charachter selection.

Yea i love my wizz. Im very strong in pve. When im fully buffed with my cleric skills i can take 2-3 party mobs at the same time and Im the best healer.lol

You are already used to shredding it up face to face right? Well, now lets try the power of a European.

As you may know, the warrior class receives 3 different types of weapons which include: Two-Handed Sword, Single-Handed Sword and Shield, and Double Axe. You dont need to pick all of these its really up to you. Personally i believe you should not even look at the axes because it is a rounded weapon and i dislike them so much. They do low damage and give little defense when compared to the other warrior builds. The choice is truly your's, i can just give you an opinion.

Now this leaves the question, 2H or 1H/Shield. My personal choice is both, simply because the European characters are made to be in parties. The warriors job is to take damage and protect his allies. Basically, you are a human shield. With the 2H blade, you will do the most damage of all possible warrior builds. As a 2H warrior, you will do tons of critical hits and truly dominate your opponent. They will be defenseless against your unstoppable power...unless they block. Sure you attack kinda slow, but you can rape them with sheer power.

Now the 1H sword and shield is a great tanker. You do the lowest damage of all European classes, but you just wont die. You get high defense with a shield as an added bonus to help you survive. I am not sure if a Chinese Bladder does more damage then a European 1H/Shield, somebody will have to provide this information.

Now lets cover our sub-class shall we? You can choose to be Bard for extra speed (I dislike the idea of getting bard for a warrior. Sure the speed is nice, but Noise IS USELESS TO A WARRIOR! Our job is to get mobs to attack us, not run away) or you can go cleric. With Cleric, you will be an even more unstoppable machine. You can recover your hp if it ever gets too low for comfort. That the basic idea, you recover your HP quick so you will hardly die.

Here is a link to an awesome 2H warrior...although this player chose to pick bard as a sub-class, he still rapes in PvP.

I hoped i helped. I just made this character and love every second of it...or will as soon as i am done farming. I am a 2H/1H/Cleric. I change weapons based on the situation at hand.


Wizards
i have a lv 42 wizard. Sure he can 1 hit everythings his level and higher lvs, but he dies too fast. If you go solo, you cant really fight monsters that can get to you fast or have ranged attackes...well only if it takes you 2 or more hits to kill. The wizard was fun for a time, but he is the easiest character to kill. A sprint assualt can kill wizard (does like 50% of total damage but is quick).

I think it depends on what you want to do in the future.

If you want to PVP ( like, face to face PVP in the old way, in stead of stealth + 1 hitting ) then warrior is your choice.

If you like producing big numbers, kill Sosun people with normal gear, or have fun with jobbing ( especially thieving ) then wizard is the way to go.

If you have not started anything yet, then maybe you should try warrior first. He has more of a "chinese style" than other races.

In PVE, it does not matter though, since you'll be in parties.

Hmm if you like speed and fast fights wizzard is the way to go, live fast or die is the way of the wizzard.

I have a rogue atm but i dont know if i should make a wiz or make a warrior ( new character). Or respec my rogues skills from rogue/bard to rogue/warrior so what do you think i like doing heavy damage and being one of the best pvpers so please guys help me out.

Warrior: Warriors can tank and is very important in a party

i know how the roles were played i played World OF warcraft for a while and i had a mage. But this is a differnt game so i wanted a char that is good at trades and stuff and pvp.

trades i say the trader its self to be a warrior or cleric as the 2 best, you want a wizzard hunter at least one on a trade with you cause they have strong aoe attacks, but unless they are guarding some one decently lower lvl they'll be neading a warrior to give warrior buffs to them, its benificial to have both with you, wizzard alone is the best hunter for only the spawns the trade causes, but when it comes to fighting real people the warrior will be better

Anyway ... I had high level Warrior / Cleric ... I quited him coz of lack of speed (I couldnt be arsed to buy pots) , Low damage , No AoE attacks , Bad at powerleveling (Source of Money guys :$) ... meh ... I guess that Int character is more my style ... so I chosed Wiz/Cleric ...
