suggestions?

im at lvl 14 and farming.next lvl is the right time to choose between fire series or lightning series.Ill use cold-sword AND (fire or lightning). the idea is to slow down enemies and with garment and lightning series to speed me up.

I have 2 questions:

1) Which inflicts more dmg fire or lightning

2) can i use both cold and lightning at the same time as a combination?

from what i've seen (corrections welcome), the forces have pretty even dmg. it's their effects that make the difference. light, obviously, jomps from mob to mob, etc, fire makes them burn, whittling down hp. ice slows or stops them, rendering them incapacitated.

as far as combinations, you can do some intereresting things with using a weapon imbue that doesn't match your skill. example: my lvl3 lightning nuke bounces from target to target, dmging 3 of them at a time. i've imbued myself with fire before i cast it. result? three burning mobs (if they survived it, which few do). cold imbue would have given a chance to fewwse or slow each (very handy), and light would have made every subsequent hit i gave each jump to the others as well.

play with it, and decided what you wanna do. just remember that changing your mind is expensive :)

I'm having problem deciding myself.

I have a lvl 15 blade user with an emphasis on STR (more than 2:1, but not pure STR), and so far I've only added masteries in the Sword/Blade skill. Eventually I will choose some kind of magic, I guess, but I don't know which one. When I used a bow with my last character I liked Cold, becaused it slowed monsters down and allowed me to pick them off at a distance, but now that I'm building a melee character I don't really know...
