Nyu getting banned for botting?

Emm not to flame anyone but Nyu is legit the char got plvl all time so i cant see how someone can be a botter while you are getting plvled by someone.
And besides from that She never said she botted, only said she got Powerleveld by a bot... aSo i should really reconsider the ban again because she didnt broke any of the the rules...

Yea i have to agree with this, in rules there's nothing about admitting on a vent server, beside who can proof it? anyone can proof was her in vent or what she said? I dont know her, dont know her voice so even I was in vent and i wasnt, i couldnt proof it. I can understand that mods dont allow rome section as a subforum where we can talk of everything but sometimes i disagree with all this strictness, if you have to follow strictly rules she has to be unbanned even though everyone on rome knows that but she still didnt admit that in a post. I also disagree with the ban for unrespect mods, does it mean mods are someone higher or more important than users? The ban should be for unrespect people of forum not only mods. Also why that thread about Instict got deleted istead of getting locked? I dont get it

I think the point is, if you disagree with a mod, you disagree in a civil manner. I've been stopping by here and there and have noticed any post against a mod is done in unrespectful ways to put it kindly. They are at a higher status then you because they were chosen to do their job for qualifying in what is needed as a mod. Yes, maybe you feel one doesnt deserve to be respected, or deserve a higher status then you. But someone who has more authority did feel they deserved it. And I think the idea is you're supposed to approach them in a respectful manner.

They do get people in trouble when they disrespect members, its a slower process then when they do a mod. If they banned everyone who disrespected another we would have a max of prolly 100 members left. But its a bigger offense to disrespect a mod because of their authority and status.

While I at first also thought it was not exactly fair to ban someone based on them in vent, a very wise Mod reminded me that vent is an extension of the forums. It being brought back recently its not suprising they have not been able to edit the rules.

I know many of you are against how things have become here, things have gotten stricter and are more in order then before. But that was exactly why this place needed mods. Because it was getting to be a wreck. People complain nobody is doing their job, then complain when they do. Everyone wants to run around like infants with their diaper over their head, slamming into walls and pooping on themselves. But did you guys ever consider instead of only getting more and more out of hand as someone gets in trouble to maybe take a hint? Sadly people dont usually follow regulations till some decide to be wise and get made an example of. So take whoever has been banned her recently, and maybe get an idea of how things are to be.

I saw in a topic several times a mod getting disrespected and flamed, and it going no where. You maybe need to learn its how you word and say things for people to see your points. Once one member said things respectfully, it was then dealt with. Some need to be brought down from their imaginary throne, and learn that you don't run the place. Just be respectful guys. I dont think you're expected to be drones. Just express your opinion or disagreements in a non hostile manner if you want them to get somewhere.

All ppl of rome knows but we cant accuse, neither prove it so if she doesnt post it, she cant be banned according to rules, i'm not saying its unfair but its just following rules, beside after ciddy got banned i dont like srf as before so i dont care about this neither. Just wanna see if mods will apply their rules strictly as always.
Kneko told me that nyu quoted a post of RuYi and said "love you too -.-" no sure cus i wasnt here and when i back thread was already deleted, and yes kneko was stupid for saying he botted on his first char two lvls even though i made him delevel those lvls with pk and he doesnt use it anymore, i agree with his ban. But everyone of rome knows many ppl of this section use bot

I apologize for the entire thread being deleted. We do have new mods who just go on their jobs and we have gone through a many management plan changes, so please be patient with us. If you find anything wrong, like a whole thread being deleted, you can PM me in the future and I'll see what we can do to bring you the thread back.

However, you have to realize, there has been a LOT of flaming on Rome and it was going out of hand.

And yes, we do ban botters we got to know in any single way.

Not true Azn. As long as they do their homework there is no way to ban the wrong person. Everyone has an IP. Administrators on both Ventrilo and forums that run phpBB can see the IP of the person posting and logging into Ventrilo. All that would need to be done was run a check against the Ventrilo IP and then the IP that the person posts on in the forums. If they match, then ban, if not, then use WHOIS IP searching or global search that IP on the forums.

The SRF vent is an extention of the forums. The rules that apply on the forums, also apply to Vent.
I doubt it can get more logical than that.

So its someone's word against her cus I bet she wont admit it even she did so, me as a member of this forum will never know if its really happened or not.
