The start button won't appear.
The manual patch isn't downloading.
What do I do?

Be patient and keep trying or visit the thread in the General Discussion forum that has the .TORRENT file to download it yourself via BitTorrent or the directly linked files.

keep trying the launcher, and soon itll update rather then you have to download the extra odd bits

Or try with Windows 98 compatibility mode.
