I really need help... i have tried numerous things people have suggest and yet its still happening.... nothing is wtong with or graphics card or comp...yet everytime i switch towns after like the 3rd time it crashes...and like when im walking it will randomly crash.... and im afraid its starting to do the same thing on my laptop

buy a new laptop.. My laptop Is alienware .. Nvidia GeForce 9,500 with better memory and stuff.. Stronger cooling fan system. Cost me over 1,700$ for my laptop..

o0o expensive laptop i got a cheap 800$ pc and i barely lag and i only have 1 g empty space atm lol to many songs and pictures

oh nice. my computer cost 3000 to make and now if i resell it will probably go for 1200 minimum lol price went down drastically.

No that sold it for that, they over price everything, Alienware sucks, your buying the brand name.

Dumbass post. If you actually took 4 seconds to think about his post, you'd know his problem isn't about performance.

Three things can be wrong:

1. Software configuration problem.
2. Faulty hardware (probably RAM, run a memory test for a few days)
3. A combination.

You know the above is true since SRO does indeed crash. So how can you say for certain that it's not the graphics card or the "comp"? The real answer is, you can't!

Something similar was happening to me too. But to me, after the 3rd teleportation loading was taking AGES. I had 512 mb memory. I recommend you format your hard drive and buy some more memory maybe?

I Wouldnt reccomend going to the extremes such as buying more ram, formatting hard drive.

what i would reccomend you try is redownload/reinstalling silkroad

what anti-virus program do you use ^^?


if it's avg then delete it...



avg anti-virus detects some viruses in silkroad and makes it crash when you recvive some info(like when you go to some other town...)

I have Symantec Anti Virus...but i dont know if that may be causing problems too..perhaps? Guys i really need someones help on this... because this is soon gonna be my only comp to play on and i cant play on it if its not working...i just bought a new graphics card and my dad had reformatted it this past christmas... ... im not sure what could be causing these crashes
