[SRO]Installer Issues.

Post by Barotix »

I recently re-downloaded SRO in hopes of playing again. I ran into some trouble due to the installer not wanting to install. I Think I may have run out of hard drive space on my computer, which would mean I need a new one. I was hoping if there is a possible explanation and fix to this:

If I really have run out of hard drive space, would you mind pointing me in the direction of a better PC, If not, could you tell me how to get more space. I tried deleting useless files, and uninstalling programs I no longer use. I even tried changing the direction of installation, as you can see from the picture, that did not work. None of my methods have worked thus far. Thanks for your help.

Silkroad takes 2292MB (according to my computer -> software); so u need 3 GB of space on ur HD (500mb in order for windows to run properly -.-)
Could u maybe post how much (Free) Space u have on ur HD?

I don't think it's because of a lack of free space, there would be an error saying: "could not complete installation due to insufficient free space".
That error is a typical windows-crashing-the-program/installer-error.

1/ Free HD space?
-> either delete programs/files or buy an extra HD

2/ Maybe corrupt client?
-> download the client again and try reinstalling

3/ If u want to buy a new computer; tell me price-range and where u live ($ & € really big difference atm. 50$ = 32.275€) & if u know how to assemble a computer by yourself.

That's just enough for Windows to run "smoothly" and not having problems with your virtual memory (if RAM is full, computer uses hd space as if it were RAM)

So yeah, start deleting :) Or buy an extra HD and move some stuff

An hour later and I have 20 gigs free. Now I just have to install SRO. Thank you for the help. :)

EDIT: Success.
