First check all your cables, is everything connected properly?
My guess: Overheating.
Computer automatically reboots to cool off (all processes get closed and upon restart, no programs stressing the computer which causes heat)
Probably a fan not working properly (could be because of dust, age, ...) -> motherboard is centered, taking most of the heat. When critical temparature is reached -> auto reboot in order to prevent hardware damage (if the auto reboot fails, your motherboard could just melt and maybe cause a fire inside your computercase)
Or a defective powersupply.
EDIT: this should be posted in the Technical Help Section

computers shut down when it overheats not reboot, or else theres no point in rebooting cuz it would probably just keep rebooting rofl...

Trojan wouldn't restart computer at random moments.
1/ Check Cables
2/ Run Anti-Virus
3/ Check temperatures
If all of the above is fine, u should turn off auto-reboot in windows when a serious error occurs. Instead of reboot, u will get BSOD (Blue Screen Of Death), this will tell you what went wrong. Then it is just a matter of googeling the error.
Go To Systemproperties, tab Advanced -> boot- and recovery settings, and then deselect "automatically reboot system" under systemerrors
@Juicy; my old computer rebooted when it got too warm...
It either reboots or shuts down, depends on the settings.

Either two things with the hardware.
(1) Your fan on your videocard is stuck or is broken and your graphics card is overheating and making the pc reboot.
(2) Your fan on your processor is stuck or broken and that is making it overheat causing it to reboot.
I dont think its a virus or something becuase it is happening randomly.
