Off course it crashes -.-
U have a Geforce 2!!! So why do u download drivers for the GeForce 6 series??
U MUST download the drivers for GeForce 2!!! (OS: windows ME)
Nvidia does not support ME or GeForce 2 drivers...

Ow, and the minimum requirements for sro -> sro runs when everything is set off or on low on the lowest resolution.
Also, check that ur resolution is the same is the when in the sro-client

I cannot say lack of memory, because I have run silkroad with only 256MB
of memory back then, before and during Legend 1. and 512MB of ram in legend 3.
but all is in winxp.

I think win ME has a memory ceiling of 512MB.
some additional note for win me with large ram

the last driver provided by nvidia for gf2 mx and win me

Lack of RAM and video card is errr...well, the GF2 MX series was a castrated version of an already barely adequate card...it's 7+ years old.

It may be possible that the MX just won't do it, although it looks like the memory on the card is the same (64 MB).

Lastly (and most obvious) it doesn't say on Joymax's page that Windows ME is a supported OS, so maybe there are just too many problems with it.

I don't think u will get sro running on that pc.
Why?
1/ ME is the worst Windows OS ever, just crashes all the time and so unstable + ME is not updated anymore.
2/ GeForce 2 MX 400, 64MB; This card is like 9 years old! So again, no updates anymore for this
3/ GeForce 2 series only supports up to DirectX 7; sro requires DX 9, DX 8 is also good enough

*** The Minimum specs on the sro homepage (can't find them :s) are the specs for the very first client of sro! With every new Legend, graphics went up -> demanding more from your computer.
My guess for minimum specs:
Pentium 2.4 Ghz
512 MB Ram
GeForce 6 series/ ATI 9800 Pro or higher
2292 MB of free Hard Disk Space
-> This can run sro pretty smoothly for some time at low quality on 800x600 / 1024x768

Minimum System Requirements for SRO are

CPU Pentium 3 800mhz
256 RAM
3D acceleration ABOVE Geforce 2
DirectX 9 Compatable video card / sound card
Windows 98,ME,XP,2000, or Vista

your video card does not meet the requirements so you can't play
