Re: SRO for Mac?
My knowlege is pretty limited about macs. But i think the only things you can do is make your mac duel boot with bootcamp. So you will have mac and a windows OS.
The only other thing i can think of is to use this thing called Wine. http://wiki.winehq.org/MacOSX
I think using that you can run pc stuff. But i have no idea how to use it.
Hope i helped a bit.
Also try and search the forums for any guides or something. Search button is your friend

Re: SRO for Mac?
you can install wine using ports
when you install port, you would do
"sudo port install wine"
then you would do "wine name-of-file.exe"
but If I remember, or if there hasn't been an update, wine on mac had bad graphic acceleration. Just do the bootcamp thing.

Re: SRO for Mac?
I have it running on my mac right now and it actually runs better than it does on a pc
I used crossover games to get it running (couple issues though, you have to start in fullscreen default resolution or it doesnt show anything unless you set it to windowed mode)
Tried getting it to work with wine but gave up
crossover games does it all for you!

Maybe set up a small partition ( granted you have the free hard drive space ), create it especially to install windows + sro and dual boot sro whenever you wish to play sro?
Im not too sure if you can play it straight out on mac but that seems like an easy alternative if you ask me.

as I said, use crossover games for mac and it works great, those minor issues turned out to be because I had a messed up install or because I run a hackintosh, reinstalled and it worked way better. Still way better than it runs on windows imo!
Also, it does not run very well in parallels, so don't even think about trying. I got it to start in a parallels machine (xp on my quad core 2.66, 4gb total ram, 2gb dedicated to vm, and 64mb vram) and it crashed quite a bit. Not worth it! But crossover games definitely works
