I've played this game for about a day now, but a few hours ago I was disconnected from the server, and now when I try to start the game I just get the message "Silkroad.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." and it crashes.

Any suggestions on what might be wrong?

is said problem happening right this instant or only a few hours ago before you gave up?

because there was a temporary server down for an inspection

I had the same problem, tried to reinstal sro, paste an exe from a friend, clean the registry but one thing that worked was reinstaling the whole windows. Now it works perfect (if u don't count these stupid 'Disconnected to server' messages)

you shouldnt count them as they arent an issue with the games opperation, its just overloaded servers.

It started working again after a couple of hours, but now I haven't been able to log on for over six hours. It's great that the game is popular, but not so great that you can't log on.
