SRO Launcher Does not Load Well - Situation Baffled

Original Problem:
Solution (Thanks Monkey)
Hey guys I am really at my wits end here as I am usually able to fix any problem that I am faced with but this really does baffle me.
I have played silkroad a while back and stopped for a while for a break from constantly grinding. However because of various reasons I had reformat my HDD recently and start from scratch (yey clean windows that does not take 5 mins to load
). Now I have decided to rejoin with the expansion it has had on to try it out again.
So here is my list of what happened on the day I decided to reinstall:
Download the 900mb client file - Done
Install the Client - Done
Load the Launcher - ARGHHHHHHH *Monitor through the window*
So the problem I have is the launcher always loads and then shuts down again, usually staying longer when it first runs or on a fresh install. Now I have used process explorer and found that it runs very quickly and then goes again and is replaced with the windows error logger process.
Now I have tried everything I know how. I have reinstalled different clients from different sources, I have disabled all security software when installing and first running, opened up router firewall for the program, used CC and regedit to clean out old silkroad values that could cause it to malfunction and even installed it on another drive to no avail.
I could really use some help with this as the answer will prob be very obvious to someone (hope linus's law is right)and if you would help I would be forever indebted to them.
Thanks

1. click start
2. right click My Computer
3. click properties
4. go to "Advanced" tab
5. go to the Performance options
6. go to "Data Execution Prevention" tab
7. select "Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select:"
8. chuck in silkroad.exe and sro_client.exe in the list
