Is there anything I can do?

Hi guys,

I've not played SRO for a while because a few months ago I tried to log on and got a message that I had been banned for bot ads!?! :( Before anyone starts saying "well it's your own fault" can I just say I have never advertised or used a bot of any sort so I am assuming my account was hacked and used to advertise bots maybe. I posted on the official SRO forums but no-one could help.

Does you know of anyone I can contact regarding getting my old account back as I felt like playing again and would like my old account back if I can get it.

Thanks in advance.

I'm afraid Joymax won't do anything. Whether you're speaking the truth or not, they will probably think you're telling a lie. Every time botters are banned, people post on the forum saying they never botted and want their account back.

I think I was banned for advertising bots because it says something like "Reason: Bot Ad" so it makes no sense for me to have an account from when SRO first came out and there was only 1 server, spend a fair amount or real money on premium items, and then suddenly decide to risk getting my account banned by advertising bots...

Well all you can do is spam their bug report, might be handy to include your silk history since they're all greeds at Joymax.
I don't give you much of a chance though, even if you had a problem that's caused my Joymax they don't give a damn usually.

If I were you I'd register a new account to play with and watch my words.

RuYi is right. Joymax really can't do much but you can try to spam them with bug reports and include silk history like RuYi siad :)

Yea, Joymax, working for free. Unlike WoW, you don't pay monthly fees. If you don't fork up cash for their services, they can care less what happens to your account. RuYi is right, they might care if you have a history of buying stuff with silk, because technically, now that you forked up cash, they'll want you to be satisfied so you buy more.

If anything trying to release and renew your IP see that will work, most ISP's will allow you I think 7 ip's all together so you can get back on, as for you account you might have to start fresh. If you do try Odin server it has a great community and economy. I would be willing to help you out as much in-game as possible. Hope to play some Silk with you soon. Good luck if you have any more questions feel free to PM me.

Thanks for all your help. I've not heard back from Joymax yet.
I'll keep you updated. Me and my girlfriend have started new characters on Zeus (because it was the only server we didn't get Disconnected from server on last night).

The lag and ability to log in seem to have got a lot lot worse in the last 3 months... I've never found it so difficult to log in.

Is there any server that has fewer people on generally so I'm more likely to be able to get on?

Do Joymax have any plans to do what the other companies do where you have one main server that your characters on and multiple sub-servers making it much easier to play.

Even if they had a queueing system that made you wait in line before connecting you

Well I never have had issues getting on Odin so far so if you wish to try there I think its the best server I have played on so far. 8)

Well, look through my topics that I've started, I've written up a short guide on how to get into SRO quick and easy. (Dosen't require logging in over and over)
