I am having the oddest SRO issue. I am playing Euro and ever since the last download my pc shuts off, right in the middle of playing
I have a ATI Radeon Xpress 1150 Series Video Driver, and I have never had this issue before. I installed the latest drivers hoping for a solution but it just shut off again.
I do not have this issue while running any other applications only this one. It doesn't shut off any other time.
My system (Gateway Laptop):
DirectX 9.0c
1918 MB RAM
AMD Turion processor
Please if anyone can help me I would be in your debt!

It could simply come from overheating.
When your computer is too hot, the security mechanisms can be to power it off, or simply freeze (mine freezes when too hot).
In case it's this, try to clean it up (remove the dust). The most complicated is for the CPU where you have to remove the fan to clean to cooler.
If you're watercooled, your problem is somewhere else :p.

Does this problem only occur during you playing games?
I had a similar problem in the past, my computer would just shut down when I was playing a videogame, even when I just started the computer a few minutes ago.
My problem was caused by the powersupply, I switched it with a different one and the problem was solved.
Hope that helps.

I think it might be a driver issue problem.
Now you say your PC restarts rite, I think your computer is having a system error and it restarts before you even get to see the message error.. what I think is that you normally have to see a BoD (Blue Screen of Death) you kno when your computer crash and you get this Blue Screen with some errors, we all had it
So ive made a screenshot for you wich steps you have to take.
Right click your computer icon and select settings.
Now get to the Advanced Tab and you will see Boot and Reboot settings, click settings
You now see under System Errors "Automaticily Reboot System" UNCHECK this
I hope your system now doesn't restart after you get a system error, so you'll atleast now what kind of error your getting even if you don't understand it,y ou might have a tought when you read these weird CantUnderstand errors
Or you can try to refresh your video drivers..
Download
Driver Cleaner Professional from Guru3D it's free. With Driver Cleaner Pro you can remove all graphic relater drivers from your computer so that you can have a fresh driver install afterwards what might help for better game performance/quality

i do not recommend unchecking that, i did it before, and instead of restarting, tons of errors started occurring
i did the same as RuY, changed my PSU, that did the trick(mine was kinda lloose b4)

He's playing on a laptop, so that should give you a hint.
JacksDaughter is probably right, laptops shutdown automaticly when they overheat and silkroad demands alot from your system so the processor and videocard is constantly working (generating heat).
My old laptop did just the same and when I felt the bottom it was really hot.
You should feel the bottom of your laptop to check if it is warm.

Thank you all for your help! I am on a laptop which makes it all tough. I think it may be an overheat too. I am just confused because it never did it before the last client install. I am just at a loss.

Common issue is always overheating. Always put your laptop on a hard, flat surface like table. Dont put it on your leg or on your bed...
