If I use linux (using ubuntu atm) to load silkroad.exe with wine, the launcher loads and all, but the start button, updates etc don't pop up at all, I switch to windows and it does? Does anyone know why? Or is silkroad stupidly defiant about being windows only?

16 views and not a reply... well I got it working now, currently the problem is there's a Direct3D error and it says "Could not find any compatible Direct3D"

Their is no Linux version.. SRO is created for Windows. If you really want to try it in linux try whine or wine ( how ever ya spell it ) to run it.

I tried installing it with wine and I got as far as hitting "install" then it just disappeared. I don't think I had enough space on my virtual drive c or something, but i don't know how to make it bigger.
