I've experienced huge lag issues since 4/12 update (last week)
Many people also have suffered from this lag but not as badly as myself.
I'm from Australia...just trying to find the reasoning behind this lag, whether it's SRO or my ISP.
The thing is, my web surfing is fine, when I play other games eg. Warcraft 3, Dota etc...it's all good. Which makes me think it's SRO but my fellow Aussie mates seem to not lag as much.
If anyone is also experience same issues please post here and possibly a solution or explanation. Maybe it's just my ISP? which is Telstra hmmm
Anyone lagging immensely since 4/12 update???

Yes, extreme lag. I click on the ground and a second or two later my character moves.
Now I can't even play. C9 error, can't connect to server. Joymax sucks, and I'm SO glad I didn't buy a 4 week gold ticket last week as I thought about doing.
EDIT: Finally managed to log on, and forget about 1-2 second lag - now we're talking 10+ seconds. Way to go, Joymax.
EDIT II: Now this is weird...after I jumped out to Windows to edit this message I go back to SRO...and the lag is gone! So if you have lag, try to press Alt + Tab to jump out to Windows, then go back to SRO and see if that helps.
EDIT III: Actually, forget that. Lag is back, just as bad as before. It comes and goes.

It doesn't matter how great your internet connection is. I have a 28Mbit line, and I still have 10 second lag and frequent disconnections. My computer is a 2GHz AMD 3200+ with 1GB of RAM and a 128 MB GeForce 5900+. Sure, not THE best computer, but I've played Silkroad of a computer with specs about half as good, and it worked great then. It's server side, not client side.
Joymax is beyond a shadow of a doubt THE worst gaming company I have EVER had the misfortune of dealing with. I have spent money on Silkroad in the past, and I'm just SO glad I didn't now, although I thought about it, because I haven't been able to play at all for nearly two weeks.
Most of the time I can't even log on (C9 or C10 error + server traffic means I can log on only during the night my time), and when I log on the game is unplayable because there is a 10 second delay on everything. I just started a new character, lvl 8, and I can't even grind on lvl 5 weasels without dying.
And don't even get me started on the gold bots that Joymax don't care about. In the exorcist area I counted them a few days ago, but I stopped when I came to 50 bots. There were probably many more than that. This could very easily be taken care of, since they are very easy to identify, but Joymax don't care.
Instead of creating new content for the game, why don't you fix the stuff that's already in it, Joymax? But I guess as long as you can scam people out of their money, buying silk for objects they can't use, you're happy.
And yes, I know Joymax has nothing to do with this forum, but they never reply on their own forum, since they don't give a damn about their customers. Why not close the game to new registrations for a month and get rid of all the botters, the lag and all the other problems you have? Maybe then you will actually HAVE customers in the end.
