SRO crashing and freezing my pc w/ windows vista

Post by crazy_foo »

Randomly sro will completly freeze my pc to the point where I have to hold the power button I can't ctrl alt delete it or anything like that. I never had this problem before I installed windows vista ultimate. I have already tried running program in compatability mode for xp sp2 and I have it set to run as administrator. My pc setup is core 2 duo E6750 with evga nvidia 650i ultra motherboard with 2 gig of ddr2-800 ram and pny Geforce 7900 GS graphics card and I have no overheating problems. I can't tell for sure if it's hardware or software related but I run other games such as Crysis fine but not sro -_-

all I have is windows vista right now no xp disks that work or anything. Mabye joymax will fix the support for vista better soon or possibly the SP1 coming out might help but switching isn't an option atm especially since future games will use DX10 and some vista exclusives
But it seems to be stable at a lower res in window mode instead of my normal 1680x1050 res. I may be forced to play it at a lower crappier res to be stable, oh well :banghead:

I to am running in 1650x1280 and the only error i have seen so far was that when i quit the game after a while, my monitor defaulted to 800x 600 till i rebooted.

Only did it once and well it was scary...lol
