I've been getting the same thing lately. When it freezes, go to your task manager (hit your "Windows" button, right click the task bar, and click "task manager). Click the "Processes" tab and see how much memory sro_client.exe is using. When mine freezes, I often find that the client is using 250k+ memory.

Is there some memory leak in the client or something? I wouldn't think the game should take up THAT much memory. When I first log in, it takes up a lot less than that.

When mine peaks it runs at 400k + and mine runs fine. This sounds like a memory problem... **** memory. Do you have any other programs like the size of silkroad and use roughly the same memory? If so does it only crash on silkroad or with other programs as well?

I suppose it could be a memory issue. I don't have any other big programs like SRO that I could test with. My wife has the same setup, and she gets bad lag problems, but not to the point of it freezing on her.

When I freeze, it's just SRO that freezes. I can alt-tab to other programs and use them, but just a lot slower.

i believe there are memory leaks in the client. thats the only explanation i find for the game requiring more and more memory since i start it till i'm forced to shut it down (usually when its 400k - 550k mem usage)
