Ok. I CAN NOT play sro.. i have a skill gt and i have lost 5 days of gt to this :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
When i click on sro the screen "silkroad is under server inspection or update" :? :? even though it isnt.. i have tried that thing with the host edit.. i put in 121.128.133.26 gwgt1.joymax.com the first time this happened... it worked that time.. but this time it didnt :banghead:
i tried taking off the 121.128.133.26 gwgt1.joymax.com host and then saving it then loading sro.. obviously that didnt work. so i put the 121.128.133.26 gwgt1.joymax.com host back on and it still didnt work. :banghead:
I have NO IDEA what to do :( ive tried looking for other guides or tutorials and there are none :(
i am extremely pissed off right now because there seems to be no help at this moment :banghead: :banghead:

i also can not get on silkroadonline.net

when i go to it it just says "sorry we cannot connect to this website"
or
"error ....." with a bunch of symbols or letters. :? :? :? :? :?

~~~~~~~i cant get into my firewall... for some reason it wont let me.. can someone post a picture guide or send me a link to one that shows me how to get into it and let silkroad in?~~~~~~~
You have no idea how much i appreciate it for you guys helping me :D
THANK YOU SO MUCH for taking time to read this and help me out :D :D
This isn't really a solution - more like a token of sympathy.
I play on RedSea too and yesterday had the same problem, and so far I can't start the client, just like you.
I can tell you, however, that it has nothing to do with your firewall - if the game worked before, it should work now as well. Besides, I have the same problem and I have no firewall...
Most likely it's a server-side error, and it might be gone by the next update, but I'm still waiting for answers myself.
BIG EDIT: The solution had just been posted on the official forums. The solution is to add the following lines to your c:\windows\system\drivers\etc\HOSTS file (use notepad to open it):
127.0.0.1
121.128.133.26 gwgt2.joymax.com
*Note: Previous guides mentioned to add the line 121.128.133.26 gwg1.joymax.com , which appears to be faulty. Yay, I can play again!
