Bloom effect

how come when I turn on bloom efect during the game the everything dissappears except for the sky? the whole background just turns red, blue whatever

It can't be because of that, I can turn all settings except that to highest/max with no lag at all (but a little in towns)

I have an Nvidia 8400M GS discrete card..

Btw, even my friend with a useless GMA 950 graphics card can run bloom effect..

Nevermind, I found the problem. It was something wrong with the drivers; I tried another set and now it works fine.
