it takes my silkroad game awhile to get back into game (especially after I get DCed, WOW i hate reloading silkroad back in when the server is full shit.. takes like 5 min to back to login screen)

my comp specs arent that bad so i dont think its my computer thats slow but here is a screenshot:

yes i already looked at the thread in this forum somewhere about JDEfrag and ccleaner i already done that and my silkroad still isnt fast enough (well it seems like it got 1% faster which isnt much of a difference), and also updated my graphic drivers too.

any like.. computer tweaks or anything?
and everytime i login town it takes awhile to load all the characters and shows them white for like.. 10+ seconds when my friends comp is like instant and smooth.
and it also takes awhile to load to get to the next map when my friends comp is instant too

help please

How many MB is your video card? I can already tell it's not on-board as there's no taxing on your system memory.
First thing I can see is that you should increase your RAM. I run SRO on a 1.6GHz laptop with 1GB RAM and I load it four times faster then my friend's 3GHz 512MB RAM desktop. ;)

If not, maybe try increasing the size of your paging files.

Close some random processes that aren't System or vital. Defrag, clean up useless files, don't run ie and sro at the same time, go lower res.

Are you planning on spending any money? The best way would be to up your ram or buy a new video card (you can get a Radeon x1950 for about 100 bucks and 2 gigs of ram for under another 100.)

If not, I still recommend opening the case and cleaning it out with a can of duster. You'd be amazing how much crap can accumulate in your fans/heatsinks/etc.
