Does anyone know why I can't see most images people link to in posts? the majority of the time it's just a blank line, and everyone else can see the images. O_o I'm using firefox with NoScript if that helps.

Try installing Firefox again over your current install.

Will that mess up my setting/bookmarks/etc.?

If you're just installing Firefox without uninstalling, then no, it shouldn't. You can backup your profiles though, by going to C:/Documents and Settings/yourusername/Application Data/Mozilla/Firefox, and backupping the two files and the folder in there.

Okay, that didn't work. Specifically, it's threads like this one:

I'm pretty sure there's supposed to be images attached in the OP. O_o

Edit>Preferences>Content. Is Load images automatically checked, and no sites in exceptions? Also, what add-ons are installed?

Yep, load images automatically is checked. No sites in exceptions. I've got NoScript, DownThemAll, and FireFTP. I noticed when I went into the page source, I can get the links to the individual images. Could it be something with the HTML?

I'm running Firefox with NoScript too, so that's not the issue. Maybe check your hosts file (C:/windows/system32/drivers/etc) to see if some sites are in there on accident? Also, if you right click the image and click View Image, does it show up?

Ah~ that's the thing: nothing clickable even shows up! Other than people commenting on the images, there's nothing that would say to me there's anything there! This is the only message board I visit where this happens, too.
I'm completely baffled at this point.

If you've checked the host file and it still doesn't work, here's what you can do.
Go to C:/Documents and Settings/yourusername/Application Data. Cut the folder called "Mozilla" and move it somewhere safe (like your Desktop). This is your firefox profile and everything else attached to it. Now, start Firefox and have it generate a fresh new profile. See if it loads in that profile. If not, then there's something wrong with Firefox or your system in general and you can go back to the Application Data folder, delete the new profile, and copy back your old one.
