I have done all of the graphic driver updates suggested in the forums and have turned my game graphics way down and turned off all sounds, but I just can't seem to resolve this.

Any ideas are welcome

Um, maybe your computer is to good! Well it can't be any problem regarding slow working hardware. Do you have any other programs running that may interfer with silkroad? I sometimes have problems with that. Never got a total computer freeze like you, but my silkroad always freeze up when disconnected while trying to do a relog.

Try downgrade your graphic drivers (to version 78.01 if possible).

"Try downgrade your graphic drivers (to version 78.01 if possible)."

Well I did find that particular driver and loaded it but it still didn't help. (Might try an even older driver as I think I have version 72)

"Do you have any other programs running that may interfer with silkroad?"

I have also tried shutting down every app running, including anti-virus and still no joy. :banghead:

If you got a CD (delivered with the computer) with drivers for your graphic card try and install them.

EDIT: I'm not sure what nForce is. But for some users it has helped to download the latest drivers for nForce.

I have finally resolved my issue. It was my graphics card. It was actually toasted. I pulled the card and examined it and the fan had actually melted out of the card.
Thanks for all the help.
