Ok so heres how it happened. I downloaded Silkroad and started up a character. I played for about 20 mins and the the image just froze. one of my freinds who i was questing with said i was still moving around when i clicked but i couldnt see anything except the last thing it stopped on.

So i tried restarting aand trying again but it happened after 10 mins this time, and every time i came in after it got shorter and shorter and now i cant even get to the login screen :(. I noticed that when i alt+ctrl+del the cpu usage is at 100%.

My computer is a 3.5 amd 64 and my video card is a radeon x800.

If somebody could give any suggestions because in the short time i played it I REALLY liked it.

Thanks in advance.

I've tried lowering and it still does the same thing. I thought it may have something to do with my firewall but i turned it off and its still happening

Hmmm......have you tried the normal lowering the Hardware Acceleration? If you dont know how to do that, heres how:

Right Click your Desktop and selest Properties

Click the Settings Tab.

On the next window click Troubleshoot

Lower the Hardware Acceleration down by one notch

Try to play the game, If that dosent work, lower it by another notch, ect. ect.

I really hope this works, cause Im sort of at a loss here, Iv never heard of this kind of problem.

Help!!!

The game now works but it runs so slow that i cant play it. I turned all the graphics settings right down and it still runs extremely slow.

okay, is your card overclocked? Another ATI user had a problem kinda like this, but the screen was filled with black boxes rather then just freezeing up. If so, reset your card back to its orig speed and get the newest det drivers. Should fix it.
