why cant you guys make this game compatible? people have having troubles, i see that, so its not only me. why cant you make it work with vista?! pleasssssssssssse i hate not being able to play cuz of my new computer. and im not going to xp because i have a toshiba satellite and its not for xp. its for vista. :banghead:

dude, I use vista... I don't even run it as administrator. Try right clicking on the exe. and click run as administrator. Also try opening up ur silkroad folder and right clicking on the replacer, and silkroad, and all the ones with a compatibility option. Then, Click run this program in compatibility for, Windows XP (Service Pack Two). If that doesn't work, go to the silkroadonline.net technical help sticky for support.

I had a new Sony vista laptop and I could not get it to run in Vista, either bc of video drivers not very recent, (only 2 ever made so far, original release vista driver and second non certified driver form intel) or Vista was too slow on my 2GHz dual core procedssor comp with 1 GB ram.

The suggestions by the above poster sound great and give those a try, for me I had to install XP sp2 and find all the drivers for my hardware one at a time. Took 2 days off and on to get it done, new SRO runs great and faster now than any other comp I have. Best luck and hang in there.
