Graphics bug or perhaps artifacts

Post by Dodged »

Hi there,

Since a few days, i'm experiencing some kind of graphics problem.
The game runs fine, but after 10-15minutes of playing, my computer freezes for a few seconds, and remains after with this kind of graphics:

I'm using a geforce 8600gts with up-to-date drivers.
The temperatures of my gpu aren't getting insane so i highly doubt that's the problem.

Note: When i alt+tab to windows, everything shows up as usual there, it's just silkroad bugging with weirdass graphics.

I hope any of you can help me out since i can't find anything about this on the internet.

Thanks =)

After some testing, it seems it's solved using a lower graphic resolution.
I've been running 1280*1024 since, now running 1280*960.
Will confirm later on, but it's been running smoothly for 30min now

Maby its interesting to test your GPU temp with the 1280*1024 res and compare it with the 1280*960.

Only difference in usage there should be the RAM...

Have you tried running it in a window instead of full screen?

Dude, it is the resolution. The vid couldnt handle the data that has to be rendered. Its like artifacts. Most of the time artifacts appear when the vid card has a disfunction.
