Ubuntu + Wine

****FIXED*****
-------------------

I'm not really sure why sro won't load under Ubuntu + Wine. I did this before and it worked fine, now it doesn't want to.

In Wine, I have both silkroad.exe, sro_client.exe set for win98 and pixel shader on. I have the same wine settings as I had last time I got sro running so I don't think Wine's settings are the issue.

Anyways, loading silkroad.exe with Wine brings up the Loader. It connects, updates and all that wonderful stuff. I hit Start, gg connects, updates and so on. GG isn't the problem either I beleive. When all that finishes sro loads and crashes immediately after it loaded.

The only clue I'm left with is:

Code: Select all

I have feisty fawn with: 2.6.20-16-generic
And wine-0.9.33.

Anyone experience the same thing and found a fix, or realized what the problem is?

yes, post it there dammit :banghead:

No reason to make a new thread for it when you can potentially help other people AND get your question answered quicker.

You didn't think about actually posting your problems in a thread that has 10 pages already, and get's more attention than any of the other threads?
