Need help starting it up

ok my luttle bro started playing sro and hes devistated cuz he cant get on. For some reason, when i press the ico a window pops up that says, server is going under and update. So i click ok and the brow box that you press start to start the game loads, but no start button. Idk what the prob out.

-It also is version 1.90 and mines 1.100
things that mabey ure thinking of as the prob, but are not.

1. the internet connection is up for him and me, and we can both surf the web.
2. I dont think its a firewall prob with the update, becasue he couold play fine a couple of hours ago

Ps his computer is Windows Vista

Try to use windows vista compatibility with Windows XP.
Turn off the firewall and try again.

i cant turn the firewall off, my dad put a control thing so it ask for a password to carry out any move.

I got an error when i tried to save it it says

Cannot create the C:Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts file.

make sure that the path and filename are correct.

Right click the 'hosts' file and click 'Properties', now uncheck 'Read-Only', now load up your 'hosts' file again and edit it correctly like you did before and it should save

read only was alredy unchecked
