Quits at Gameguard

After clicking "Start," the two little gameguard things come up, and then nothing happens. Looking at the task manager while it's going on, silkroad.exe closes as soon as the gamegaurd thing comes up.
what should I do?

Ok, I did some stuff and now it's the ?????? error, but I've done everything I could find to get rid of it... looks like I'll have to reinstall the whole freaking game.

Well, before you reinstall i recommend doing what i do if something like this happens, backup EVERYTHING first to another folder THEN reinstall sro, once installed, copy over your backup and restart your pc (backing up saves you having to wait for sro to update ), then try to start up sro.. hope ive been a bit of help for you
